Our speakers -- academics, professionals, writers, poets, visual and material artists, present on a variety of contemporary and historical subjects. A lengthy question and answer period for the audience follows each lecture. Maitland Banting Silver Quill Award and Young Poet Award -- Awards of up to $200 are offered annually for originality combined with excellent command of language, in both short-story fiction and poetry, to winners and runner-ups in the HPL's Power of the Pen competition. da Vinci Science Fair Award -- Awards of up to $300 are offered annually to local students entered in the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF). Our judges look for work that combines originality with sound, demonstrated understanding of the scientific method. We donate annually to the HPL to help defray the HPL's Power of the Pen expenses.

The Miss America Foundation strives to change lives and influence young women across the country and around the world. We proudly offer academic and community-based scholarships for undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as endowed scholarships for those young women attending medical school, working in special areas for military service awareness, STEM, and in the performing arts. The Miss America Foundation, Inc. is a New Jersey not-for-profit corporation that provides academic scholarships to young women. MAF is duly recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. As such, any donation to the Foundation is tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. building scholarships to prepare great women for the world and the world for great women.

Since its beginning, The Dream Builders Project has had one goal in mind: to make a positive difference on the community and the world at large. This allows the DBP to join forces with many great and sometimes overlooked charities and nonprofits to make the most profound impact. Some of the main causes The DBP focuses on include homelessness, child abuse and neglect, education, fighting human trafficking, and improving living standards in orphanages across the world. The DBP is dedicated to making the biggest impact per dollar. By doing extensive research and having a vetting system in place, the DBP is able to ensure that all donations and volunteer efforts are spent in the most impactful and productive way possible. The Hip Hop Museum's mission is to teach, engage and inspire audiences around the world through the creativity and power of Hip Hop Culture. The THHM carries out its mission by giving voice to the stories of the people, events and artifacts that shaped the five elements of Hip Hop — through digital collections, virtual exhibits, interviews, pop-up experiences, award shows, and a wide array of innovative educational programs and activities, bringing new understanding, fresh interpretation and scholarship to the world's most popular culture of our time. The National Ballet School Foundation supports The National Ballet School of Canada by sustaining general operations, providing Graduate Awards, and through the Financial Assistance Program for talented students which provides dance training opportunities regardless of financial circumstance. Awards are presented annually and financial support is provided for other purposes as determined by the donor’s wishes.

National Dance Institute of New Mexico is founded with the knowledge that the arts have a unique power to motivate and engage children.
