THE NABE FOUNDATION SEEKS TO ENHANCE THE FIELD AND APPLICATION OF BUSINESS ECONOMICS.

The Lakehead Learning Foundation was created in 2003 as an independent, charitable foundation dedicated to raising funds for Lakehead Public Schools students. Funds raised through the Foundation have been directed to graduating secondary students in the form of scholarships and to help fund the Grade 8 Awards of Excellence. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised funds through donations – Celebrations of Life (In Memory) and through an annual golf tournament.

THE PELHAM EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO ENHANCING THE QUALTIY OF PUBLIC EDUCATION IN PELHAM, NY. THE FOUNDATIONS OBJECTIVE IS TO FUND INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS THAT BENEFIT STUDENTS AT EACH SCHOOL IN THE PELHAM SCHOOL DISTRICT.

The Quesnel Community Foundation is a public charity that gives grants to projects to help improve or address an issue in our community. We have a permanent Community Investment fund, which will never be spent. To date, we have given out $175,000 in grants to deserving community groups since we were founded in 2001. We are autonomous and governed by a volunteer board of local leaders. We are a member of Community Foundations of Canada and receive advice and assistance from them, as well as the Vancouver Foundation.

Rockcliffe Park is a vibrant heritage village community in the heart of the nation's capital. The Friends of the Village of Rockcliffe Park Foundation (The Village Foundation) encourages and financially supports community initiatives in three key areas: conservation of the environment; preservation of the heritage character of the village; and promotion of a sense of community for all residents.

The Belinda Stronach Foundation (TBSF) creates partnerships with individuals,non-governmental organizations, businesses small and large,as well as other foundations whose goals are to work within and beyond our borders to confront challenges and create opportunities. The Foundation offers training, research, consultation, leadership, and guidance with the aim to advance individual, social and cultural development both locally and globally.

The Citizens Foundation, USA supports the building of civil society in Pakistan by providing quality education to underprivileged children, promoting gender equality and advocating reform of public education.

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SOCRATES FOUNDATION The initiative to create an Educational Foundation was the brain child of a group of parents who filed an application with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency for the purpose of creating a non-profit charitable organization. In filing their application, their objective was to strive to raise funds for the purpose of providing financial support for the advancement and/or enrichment of trilingual (French, Greek & English) education in Canada.The path of navigating a request through Charities Canada proved to be a long and difficult undertaking.With financial contributions received from different individuals, the final obstacles were overcome and after four long years the “Socrates Educational Foundation” (SEF) obtained its charitable operations number, effective August 1, 2003.

The East York Foundation was established by an Act of Provincial Parliament in 1964. The Foundation owns a collection of art, historical artifacts, rare books & documents of historical significance. The Foundation is governed by a board of directors made up of residents of East York & Leaside; Ray White, John Carter, Gord Piercey, Councillor Mary Fragedakis, Michael Prue MPP, Adrian King, Geoff Kettel, Elaine Snider and Bill Buckingham. Several works of art are on permanent display at the S. Walter Stewart Library. The Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of community groups & associations and also helps in fundraising efforts for capital works projects such as recreational facilities, arenas, halls of fame,memorial tributes & structures of historical & artistic significance.
