The Eastern Washington University Foundation (EWUF), a non-profit corporation, was established in 1977 under Washington law to identify, promote, receive, and manage all private gifts to Eastern Washington University (university). The Foundation is the catalyst and conduit through which gifts and endowment income flow to provide immediate and long-term support for the university and its programs. Thus, the Foundation is not an object of philanthropy itself, but a mechanism through which private support is raised and managed for the sole benefit of EWU. Overseen by a Board of Directors and staffed by a professional development team who are university employees, the Foundation administers all gifts in a business-like manner in accordance with the donor’s wishes.

Florida International University Foundation

Donations supporting Florida International University, help to support academic programs, scholarships, internships, etc. Gifts that are undesignated may be used to support First Generation Scholarships. The Florida International University Foundation, Inc. (FIU Foundation) was established in 1969 to encourage, solicit, receive and administer gifts for scientific, educational and charitable purposes for the advancement of Florida International University and its objectives. It is registered by the State of Florida as a charitable organization and is approved by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation has also been certified as a Direct Support Organization (DSO) of Florida International University as defined in Florida Statue 1004.28.

James Madison University Foundation

The JMU Foundation, first established as the Madison College Foundation in 1969, exists to "Promote the welfare, efficiency, service to the public and objectives of James Madison University and to encourage private gifts of money, securities, land or other property of whatever character for such purposes." During our 30 year history, we have played an important role in the university's dramatic growth from a state teachers college to a multipurpose university. The ability to purchase or receive property the university needs in a timely manner has made many of the buildings and facilities, essential to the JMU of today, possible.
