Mystic Seaport's mission is to create a broad, public understanding of the relationship of America and the Sea. In order to accomplish this we: document, preserve, and stimulate scholarship in American maritime history and convey to a wide and diverse public the stories of America and the Sea through the Museum's collections, exhibitions, education programs, library, communications, products, and publications; collect and preserve representative examples of American maritime material culture emphasizing art, commerce, technology and science; collect and preserve examples of significant commercial and recreational watercraft related to America's maritime history, focusing on the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries; perpetuate skills associated with America's maritime past; and interpret representative elements of life in nineteenth-century New England maritime communities.

The Rutherford Institute, a nonprofit civil liberties organization based in Charlottesville, VA, is deeply committed to protecting the constitutional freedoms of every American and the integral human rights of all people through its extensive legal and educational programs. The Institute provides its legal services at no charge to those whose constitutional and human rights have been threatened or violated.

Gallaudet University, federally chartered in 1864, is a bilingual, diverse, multicultural institution of higher education that ensures the intellectual and professional advancement of deaf and hard of hearing individuals through American Sign Language (ASL) and English. The mission of the Los Rios Foundation is to invest in the students of the Los Rios Community Colleges to help them achieve their aspirations through education. This is achieved by offering an increased level of excellence for students at American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake and Sacramento City colleges by funding student and faculty programs, facilities and activities. The Los Rios Foundation is an auxiliary foundation to the college district. Formed in 1978, it is a 501(c)(3) organization and has 30 board members who represent the community and the colleges. The college foundations are a part of the Los Rios Foundation: American River College Foundation, Sacramento City College Foundation, Cosumnes River College Foundation and Folsom Lake College Foundation. The Los Rios District and Colleges exist to change and improve lives in the Sacramento region by making quality college education and training accessible and affordable to all. The Los Rios Foundation provides the private support necessary to meet this quality of excellence.

The Friends of the Arava Institute’s mission is to support the critical work of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies through public awareness, student recruitment and fundraising campaigns. The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies is an environmental, research, and academic institution located in Israel, dedicated to advancing cross-border environmental cooperation in the face of political conflict. The Institute prepares future leaders - Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, and students around the world - to cooperatively solve the regional and global challenges of our time, teaching them that "Nature Knows No Borders."
