The NSFC’s grant distribution program is entirely dependent on donations. The NSFC has distributed over $250,000 in grants to fund numerous organizations and other educational activities including, but not limited to: the Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation’s Congress for educational courses, the Canadian Association of Neuroscience Nurses, the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists, the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada, the Canadian Movement Disorders Group and the CNSF for Neurology and Neurosurgery Resident Education, through the Don Paty Fund. As the NSFC continues to move forward, we are exploring new ways in which to support the neurological community.

The Academy operates in accordance with our national by-laws and the mandates set by our Board of Directors. Our current 12 member Board comprises of small, medium and large companies, producing content in all genres in Canada. The organization and Awards shows are supported by numerous volunteer committees consisting of Academy members and leading industry professionals. The administration is led by the CEO with offices in Toronto and Montréal.

In operation for over sixty years in Calgary, Alliance Française offers of Calgary a variety of French educational, training and cultural programs for Francophones, those who wish to learn French or Francophiles who have a love for all things France. AFC owns Calgary's most comprehensive French language library, with a growing range of offerings including books, music and film/video. Children's programs are available as well. Alliance Française of Calgary is associated with the international Alliance Française organization based in France.

Edmonton Space & Science Foundation operates TELUS World of Science - Edmonton, Canada's 3rd most visited science centre with upwards of 500,000 visitors each year including over 180,000 students. With our entertaining learning opportunities we have inspired an interest in science and technology for millions of children, students, teachers, parents, and seniors who live in, and who visit, our province. TELUS World of Science - Edmonton houses Western Canada's first IMAX® Theatre, the largest full-domed theatre in Canada, an astrological observatory, 5 major exhibit galleries exploring space, environment, forensic science, health and early childhood development plus a feature gallery for travelling exhibits, learning centres for school programs and so much more. We offer learning and entertaiment for everyone from infants to seniors making TELUS World of Science - Edmonton the very best place to grow.

Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia (JA) has been the leading provider of youth financial education and entrepreneurial activities in the province for 40 years. JA programs help students understand economic principles and develop entrepreneurial, leadership and interpersonal skills. JA experiences promote the skills, understanding and perspectives students need to succeed in a global economy and be productive, contributing members of society with an emphasis on three areas: Financial literacy Entrepreneurship Work readiness In Nova Scotia, JA offers young leaders four programs free of charge, starting as early as grade six: Our Business World, the Economics for Success, JA Titan and the Company Program.

Since 1950,the Junior League of Calgary (JLC) has been working to bridge the gap between society's needs and existing community resources. The result is a legacy of training, leadership and voluntarism that has made a difference in Calgary. Past projects include the launch of Calgary Reads, Junior Chefs, Kids Help Phone, and Volunteer Calgary. Current projects promote healthy and active living for youth. We believe that education and support for youth is critical in building self-esteem and reversing the cycle of poverty. The Teen Tote project collects gifts and hygiene items for teenagers who would otherwise be missed during the Christmas season. Kids in the Kitchen is an international education initiative to empower children to lead healthier lives through hands-on activities related to nutrition, food preparation and physical fitness. Kids in Motion and Kids in the Arts introduce preschool concepts to at-risk children using story-telling, crafts, dancing, music and games.

Olds College is a board-governed public college operating under the Post-Secondary Learning Act, engaged in preparing our learners to contribute provincially, nationally and internationally through careers in agriculture, horticulture, environmental land management, agribusiness, and rural entrepreneurship at the Certificate and Diploma levels. Olds College also awards Applied Degrees and participates with other institutions in offering Post-Diploma Degrees.

Naturopathic medicine is a distinct system of primary care that addresses the root cause of illness or disease and promotes health and healing using natural therapies. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are highly educated primary care providers who integrate standard medical diagnostics with a broad range of natural therapies. A pioneer in Canadian naturopathic education, CCNM first opened its doors in 1978 (as the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine in Kitchener). In 1984 CCNM relocated to Toronto, where it has continued to grow, educating students from across Canada and around the world. Today, CCNM is Canada's premier institute for education and research in naturopathic medicine, offering a rigorous four-year, full-time doctor of naturopathic medicine program. CCNM is also home to the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, a dynamic naturopathic teaching clinic where senior clinicians and ND supervisors conduct more than 25,000 patient visits per year.

SCM Canada is a grassroots student-led movement on the intersection of faith and social justice. With local units active on campuses across the country, and links to more than 100 global SCMs, we engage the prophetic teachings of the revolutionary Jesus of Nazareth. As a registered charity, the Children’s Aid Foundation raises funds for programs of the Children’s Aid Society and other child welfare organizations that support children in three critical areas: Education programs that give children a chance to pursue their dreams and build successful lives for themselves, Enrichment programs that provide recreational and cultural opportunities so that disadvantaged children can experience healthy development, and Prevention programs that provide support for families before abuse and neglect begin.

Sacred Heart School of Halifax is a Catholic independent school, co-ed preschool to grade 6, girls' only grade 7-12, boys' only grade 7-12, Sacred Heart School of Halifax stimulates young minds and fosters a lifelong love of learning. The goals of the school are to educate to: • faith which is relevant in today’s world • respect for intellectual values • personal growth • the building of community as a Christian value • a sense of social justice which impels to action.

The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, created by an Act of Parliament in 1984, is an independent, not-for-profit think-tank on Canada’s relations with Asia. The Foundation functions as a knowledge broker, bringing together people and knowledge to provide current and comprehensive research, analysis and information on Canada’s transpacific relations. It promotes dialogue on economic, security, political and social issues, fostering informed decision-making in the Canadian public, private and non-governmental sectors. The Foundation also provides grants to support policy research and informed discussion on Canada’s relations with Asia.
