Calgary Arts Academy is the only school in Canada offering public education through Arts Immersion. We continue to develop interesting, exciting and effective programs to help our students learn and grow, but we need your help. We have identified the need for an additional $100,000 of funding to enhance current and future school programs and facilities. The CAA Foundation is introducing the "Be a Star - Buy a Star" giving program to support the development of new learning programs and facilities. Your donation will immediately benefit the students at our Glenmeadows Elementary and Knob Hill Middle School campuses, by helping us create new and exciting programs for the future.

Through various programs, Canada Post employees and retirees have devoted countless hours to initiatives that improve the lives of children. For more than 30 years, we’ve helped Santa answer 20 million letters. By raising both awareness and funds, Canada Post will support the grassroots volunteers, and local and national non-profit groups that work every day to improve the lives of our children—Canada's future generations. Through the sale of a fundraising stamp, combined with a retail donation campaign made possible by our generous customers, the Canada Post Community Foundation will provide financial support to registered charities, school programs and local initiatives that strive to improve the lives of children in communities across Canada.

Our teams of education specialists, museologists, scientific consultants, engineers, technology experts, and artists join forces to help people better understand our world. Whether you are a visual learner, an auditory learner or a tactile learner, no matter what your age or educational background, you are permitted to wonder and will leave our Centre having learned something new. The Grey Sauble Conservation Foundation (GSCF) is a registered Canadian charity that offers the public the opportunity to actively participate in conserving and enhancing our natural heritage through programs and activities of Grey Sauble Conservation. Through various fundraising avenues the GSCF supports the implementation of important conservation and environmental programs and projects. The GSCF Board of Directors is comprised of a maximum of seventeen members. Three of the Board members are appointed by the Grey Sauble Conservation Board of Directors. In order to achieve our objectives, GSCF needs the support and involvement of everyone who appreciates the natural environment of the Grey Sauble Watershed. Donations are always welcome and we encourage individuals, businesses and other organizations to support and participate in GSCF events, programs, projects and new initiatives.

Shawnigan Lake School is a university preparatory, co-ed boarding school for students in grades 8 through 12. Shawnigan was founded in 1916 by C. W. Lonsdale. Students are given an enriched education with emphasis on academics, fine arts, sport and good moral values. Shawnigan's aim is to develop good citizens of excellent character. Shawnigan prides itself on offering significant financial aid to deserving students and is committed to ensuring top candidates have access to a great Shawnigan education regardless of their family finances. NorQuest College is Edmonton’s community college and Alberta’s largest, serving 8,500 students annually throughout the province in full-time, part-time, distance learning and regional programs. As a regional steward, we provide access to adult education in Edmonton and the surrounding region for 23 communities NorQuest College helps learners with diverse educational backgrounds complete or further their studies through foundational and continuing education programs. Our post-secondary diploma and certificate programs offer career paths in health, community studies and business. We also provide educational opportunities at the times, places and delivery formats that best meet our learners’ needs. By collaborating with business, industry, government and communities, we ensure our post-secondary education is necessary and workforce relevant. With 95% of NorQuest College graduates employed or enrolled in further education, we contribute significantly to Alberta’s growing economy.

With roots that date back to 1936 when Nanaimo’s first vocational training school opened its doors, Vancouver Island University (VIU) shares a rich history and connectedness with its communities. VIU has evolved into a dynamic, internationally known university supporting a student population in excess of 18,000 full-and part-time learners, including 1100 international students, over 1500 aboriginal students, and employing over 2,000 faculty and staff. VIU operates four campuses including a main campus in Nanaimo and regional campuses in Duncan, Powell River and Parksville•Qualicum. VIU is also the proud owner of Milner Gardens and Woodlands in Qualicum Beach, recently named one of the top 10 public gardens in Canada. To combat post traumatic stress; bring healing to our military community (active duty, reserves and national guard, veterans, and their families) through pastoral counseling, and peer mentoring, both on an individual basis, and in group settings. Raise awareness of the increasing needs of the military community through public events, media outlets, social media, service organizations, and churches. Networking government agencies, service organizations, churches and private sector businesses into a united “corps of compassion”, to bring their combined resources together to meet the needs of the military community on a personal and individual/family level. Our brave men and women in uniform understand duty, honor, and sacrifice. Many have returned home with both the visible scars, and the unseen wounds of war. to give back to those who have given of themselves so selflessly PTSD Foundation of America is a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring to our combat veterans and their families with post traumatic stress. Many warriors are coming home with visible wounds; countless others are coming home with scars we cannot see, wounded souls from witnessing the horrors of war over and over again – PTSD. We feel it is our duty as Americans to help these mighty warriors and their families adjust and find their new normal. It is our turn to step up with other excellent existing community organizations and help those that have fought and sacrificed so much for us. We are faith-based in our approach and have a great history of providing hope and healing to those experiencing the unseen wounds of war. We offer a safe place where no one is judged, everyone is supported, and everything a warrior says or is revealed is confidential within the group. We would like the opportunity to train and/or help form groups within your community for warriors & their families to reach out to. Our teams consist of veterans, active and reserve service members as well as civilians that have a heart for the military and their families. We have active, reserve and/or veterans from every war up to world war ii that are coming to our groups. Warriors that we have worked with have learned how to heal and cope with ptsd to find their “new normal” and are now are reaching out to other warriors to let them know that there is hope in the darkness and they are not alone. please give us the opportunity to show you what we can do to provide hope for the warriors in darkness and the families who love and support them. to increase public awareness of post traumatic stress establishing relationships within the faith based community and secular organizations to facilitate support systems for our military community; locating and identifying churches currently ministering to, or are willing to consider beginning ministries to our military community workshops and counseling manuals are provided for both the warrior and their families. by assisting the spouses, children and other family members, we aid in the healing process of the individual with ptsd. Too often other treatment options fail to appropriately address the impact of ptsd on the family; training is available through regional workshops or through video. training should be undertaken by pastors, staff, counselors and lay-members who might interact in any counseling program; keeping the issue before the media and general public through regular press releases and email newsletters, as well as psa’s, websites and facebook

From the early 1830s to 1998, thousands of First Nation, Inuit and Métis children were forced to attend residential schools in an attempt to assimilate them into the dominant culture. Those children suffered abuses of the mind, body, emotions, and spirit that can be almost unimaginable. Over 150,000 children, some as young as four years old, attended the government-funded and church-run residential schools. It is estimated that there are 80,000 residential school Survivors alive today. We develop innovative, unique, and effective educational programming on residential schools and the long-term effects they have on Survivors, their families, and their communities. Accessed by hundreds of thousands of Canadians, these resources include websites, travelling exhibitions, secondary school curriculum, and an oral history collection of Survivor testimony.

To prepare and equip men and women in agriculture for more effective leadership. California agriculture must continue to find those individuals who are equipped to respond to the major challenges facing our state.

TIRF is a national, independent charitable road safety institute. Since its inception in 1964, TIRF has become internationally recognized for its accomplishments in identifying the causes of road crashes and developing programs and policies to address them effectively. Our work in reducing the risks for young drivers through such measures as graduated licensing, and our work on reducing the problems of drinking and driving through such measures as ignition interlocks and graduated penalties has won international acclaim. Other areas where TIRF’s work is reducing deaths and injuries include driver improvement programs, motorcycle safety, driver education and training, elderly road users and bicycle safety.
