The Priory School Foundation is a registered charity that is devoted to raising funds for The Priory School's continued development of innovative educational approaches so that it can maintain low tuition fees, small class sizes and personalized student care.
This charity primarily exists to help Canadians attend The Gow School in South Wales, N.Y. We have several scholarships dedicated to helping needy Canadian students attend Gow which is the oldest college prepatory boarding school for dyslexic students in North America. Since the founding of the school in 1926 hundreds of Canadians have been educated at Gow and we are dedicated to this continuing long into the future. Hope for the Future Ministries (HFM) is funded by donations from individuals, organizations, churches and schools. It is registered in Canada as Hope for the Future Ministries, and in Tanzania as Hope for the Future Foundation. Since all administration is done by volunteers, all donations go directly to the implementation and operation of its programs.
THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF OTTAWA is a registered non-profit charity that raises private funds to help students in need and at risk of school failure, attending schools in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Children cannot learn if their basic needs are not met. Children come to school hungry every day. Many of our students face life challenges that place them at risk of school failure. Over 25% of Ottawa's children are living in poverty. We provide funding in emergency situations, for food and clothing, or medication, when a family is in financial crisis. The Foundation is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business, education and community leaders, and chaired by Mr. Jim Orban, Publisher of the Ottawa Citizen. The Angel Foundation for Learning aims to ensure that all TCDSB students are equally able to participate in opportunities that sustain and enhance the educational process including: student nutrition programs, class trips, leadership activities, bursaries and funding for social work emergency needs, for instance: eyeglasses, hearing aids, food vouchers and other essentials for TCDSB students in need.
The Friends of Algonquin Park was established in 1983 as a non profit registered charity. The Friends operate as a cooperating association under an agreement with the Ontario Parks to enhance the educational and interpretive programs in Algonquin Park. This is accomplished by developing and reprinting Park-related publications, and funding Park projects through the proceeds from sales at The Friends' two bookstores in the Park, private donations, and various fundraising efforts. The activities of The Friends of Algonquin are coordinated by a volunteer Board of Directors who reside in different parts of Ontario. Since its establishment, The Friends has grown to a membership of over 3000 people, and continues to attract support from around the world.
Food for the Poor Canada (FFPC) is an interdenominational, Christian charity whose purpose is to provide basic aid and sustainable development to those in need in Haiti and Jamaica. Our current focus is on education and health. With your help we are building schools and training teachers. We are feeding the hungry, building homes and providing healthcare to the sick. Food For The Poor Canada is an affiliated agency to Food For The Poor Inc. (USA), one of the largest international relief and development agencies in North America. Its programs are close to $1 billion dollars yearly with a 96% efficiency ratio. Food For The Poor Canada works with established partners in the region. These organizations are in charge of distribution of goods to churches, hospitals, schools and community leaders that work directly with the poor. They oversee and manage the construction of homes, water wells, schools, clinics and all other projects funded by FFP (USA) and FFPC.

The Parent-Child Home Program’s (PCHP) nationwide network of program sites provides under-resourced families with the necessary tools to ensure their children achieve their greatest potential in school and in life. We assist underserved communities in replicating and expanding our proven school readiness program that supports early parent-child verbal interaction and learning at home.The proven Program effectively bridges the achievement gap through its unique focus on intensive home visiting (twice a week over a two year period) with two and three-year-olds and their parents. Highly trained community based early literacy specialists model reading, play, and conversation activities using books and educational toys that are gifts to the family.
