Pamoja Tujenge means “Let’s Build Together” in Swahili. Pamoja was founded in 2005 and has brought people together from Canada, the United States, Europe and Africa to work with the residents of three small rural villages in Katanga Province in southern DRC. Pamoja's current focus is on building and staffing a health and education centre, and operating a mobile health unit for the Katebi villages and surrounding areas. Our first step is to build a multipurpose house which will be a guest house for visiting doctors and volunteers, as well as a temporary medical facility until the full centre is built. Funds required for building and staffing the multipurpose house: $30,000 for one year. Funds required for building and operations of the complete centre for 3 years: $275,000 The design for the centre has been completed through a partnership with Ryerson University's department of Architectural Science, and Arup Toronto, an engineering consultancy.

The only museum in the world solely devoted to human rights awareness and education, it stands as a beacon for visitors from around the globe. Ramps of glowing alabaster criss-cross galleries designed to challenge, motivate and uplift. Multi-sensory exhibits explore human rights concepts with an international scope, but through a uniquely Canadian lens.

Naturopathic medicine is a distinct system of primary care that addresses the root cause of illness or disease and promotes health and healing using natural therapies. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are highly educated primary care providers who integrate standard medical diagnostics with a broad range of natural therapies. A pioneer in Canadian naturopathic education, CCNM first opened its doors in 1978 (as the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine in Kitchener). In 1984 CCNM relocated to Toronto, where it has continued to grow, educating students from across Canada and around the world. Today, CCNM is Canada's premier institute for education and research in naturopathic medicine, offering a rigorous four-year, full-time doctor of naturopathic medicine program. CCNM is also home to the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, a dynamic naturopathic teaching clinic where senior clinicians and ND supervisors conduct more than 25,000 patient visits per year.

Who Are We? Tails of Help is a volunteer-driven registered charity focused on helping Albertans in need. Working with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association, we provide essential veterinary care for pets of owners who are experiencing financial hardship. Our goal is to help keep pets healthy and with their loving families. Who Do We Help? We help seniors, disabled, or low income pet owners who own pets that need essential veterinary treatment. We can help care for companion animals of all kinds, from dogs and cats to birds and ferrets. How It Works. Applications for funding are made on behalf of eligible pet owners by participating Alberta veterinary clinics. If you are an Alberta resident and eligible pet owner, then please contact your regular veterinarian for details. How Can I help? In a world that has enough food, medicine and technology, it is sad to see children still living in poverty, abuse and neglect. That is why Ashid K. Bahl founded the Society, to show people that we can make a difference by helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Locally, we have helped with specialized medical treatments, equipment and medicine not covered by our health care system and not accessible due to financial constraints. Special needs children have gained access to specialized walkers, van and porch lifts, communication devices, food, clothing, playgrounds, and the Annual Santa’s Express. Internationally, we have helped with water wells, educational supplies, toys, and have been able to build & support several orphanages and schools. 90% of our funding comes in the form of private and corporate donations. Our Society is 99% volunteer based, which keeps our administrative costs low and hence that money raised can be best spent helping children.

To combat post traumatic stress; bring healing to our military community (active duty, reserves and national guard, veterans, and their families) through pastoral counseling, and peer mentoring, both on an individual basis, and in group settings. Raise awareness of the increasing needs of the military community through public events, media outlets, social media, service organizations, and churches. Networking government agencies, service organizations, churches and private sector businesses into a united “corps of compassion”, to bring their combined resources together to meet the needs of the military community on a personal and individual/family level. Our brave men and women in uniform understand duty, honor, and sacrifice. Many have returned home with both the visible scars, and the unseen wounds of war. to give back to those who have given of themselves so selflessly PTSD Foundation of America is a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring to our combat veterans and their families with post traumatic stress. Many warriors are coming home with visible wounds; countless others are coming home with scars we cannot see, wounded souls from witnessing the horrors of war over and over again – PTSD. We feel it is our duty as Americans to help these mighty warriors and their families adjust and find their new normal. It is our turn to step up with other excellent existing community organizations and help those that have fought and sacrificed so much for us. We are faith-based in our approach and have a great history of providing hope and healing to those experiencing the unseen wounds of war. We offer a safe place where no one is judged, everyone is supported, and everything a warrior says or is revealed is confidential within the group. We would like the opportunity to train and/or help form groups within your community for warriors & their families to reach out to. Our teams consist of veterans, active and reserve service members as well as civilians that have a heart for the military and their families. We have active, reserve and/or veterans from every war up to world war ii that are coming to our groups. Warriors that we have worked with have learned how to heal and cope with ptsd to find their “new normal” and are now are reaching out to other warriors to let them know that there is hope in the darkness and they are not alone. please give us the opportunity to show you what we can do to provide hope for the warriors in darkness and the families who love and support them. to increase public awareness of post traumatic stress establishing relationships within the faith based community and secular organizations to facilitate support systems for our military community; locating and identifying churches currently ministering to, or are willing to consider beginning ministries to our military community workshops and counseling manuals are provided for both the warrior and their families. by assisting the spouses, children and other family members, we aid in the healing process of the individual with ptsd. Too often other treatment options fail to appropriately address the impact of ptsd on the family; training is available through regional workshops or through video. training should be undertaken by pastors, staff, counselors and lay-members who might interact in any counseling program; keeping the issue before the media and general public through regular press releases and email newsletters, as well as psa’s, websites and facebook

The Fund operates primarily as an endowment with accrued interest being disbursed annually to: Support the PPCLI Regimental Museum and Archives; Offer bursaries for serving and former members of the PPCLI, their families and the members of Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps that are affiliated with the PPCLI; Provide financial support to Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps that are affiliated with the PPCLI; Provide referrals and facilitate access to appropriate social, medical and legal agencies for serving and former members of the PPCLI and their families suffering hardship; and develop and maintain various PPCLI Regimental memorials. The HGMF is also accepting donations to support the PPCLI Association 100th Anniversary Projects. The Canadian Revenue Agency has authorized the HGMF to accrue donations through to 2015 in support of the Hamilton Gault Memorial Park, Centennial Baton, Ottawa Memorials and Frezenberg Memorial Projects.
