Educational community We are a community of students, teachers, parents, and supporters whose task is education. Recognizes its roots We acknowledge that we are building on the vision established by our founding parents. Celebrates its diversity We are enriched by our cultural and denominational diversity. Christ-centred learning Every subject is taught from this perspective: Our world belongs to God. It has fallen into sin, and is being renewed and restored through Christ. Teach discernment Our aim is to engage culture – not flee from it – in the confidence that God is in control. Nurture and equip students We teach a wide range of content, develop a variety of skills, and celebrate God-given gifts. A life of responsive discipleship We encourage students to understand God’s truth with their minds, believe God’s truth with their hearts, and do God’s truth with their total beings.

The Students' Association of Mount Royal College is a charitable, non-profit organization that focuses on the non-academic needs of our members - the students of Mount Royal College. Whether it's helping students cope with non-academic crisis (i.e. offering food for their cupboards, emergency student loans, counseling services etc.), or helping our members become more involved in our community (i.e. volunteer opportunities, employment opportunities etc.), we strive to guide our members to exceed their own expectations by having a positive post-secondary experience and set them up for success for the rest of their lives. Our vision is to be where students discover themselves, build relationships, and make a difference in the world.
The Centre for Family Literacy provides a wide range of adult and family literacy programs in Edmonton, as well as training, resources, information and awareness across Alberta and Canada. Working with numerous partners and community agencies, the Centre serves more than 6,600 Albertans every year. Literacy is clearly linked to education, employment, income levels, health and involvement in the criminal justice system. There is also a tendency for low literacy levels to be repeated from one generation to the next. Through family literacy programs, all parents – even those with lower literacy skills – can provide their children with the early language and literacy activities essential to success in school. At the same time, parents often improve their own literacy skills through these programs and go on to other upgrading programs.

In the summer of 2000 a newly-formed international association "Friends of the Mennonite Centre in Ukraine" purchased the former Girls' School in Molochansk as the focus of a program of Mennonite humanitarian assistance in southern Ukraine. We shared the expectations of Molochansk Mayor Alexandra Saenko, who, in negotiations for the privatization & purchase of the building, said: "I know Mennonites quite well. I think that the Centre offers our devastated people hope. Perhaps the school will become a 'light on a hill'. We are eager to work with you". Since the USSR collapse, Ukraine has been passing through a harsh subsistence, health & economic crisis which continues. At risk are seniors and children. Food, medical, & social assistance initiatives were begun in 2001, followed by educational programs. We have partnered with local government, hospitals, orphanages & schools to offer help & hope to Ukrainians in tangible ways, regardless of gender, ethnic background or religion.
