Our work inspires a vital re-connection between people and nature, community and oneself. We work primarily with children and families in the urban context. Our summer programs now include day and overnight camps in Muskoka as well as Toronto, and a regional training course for adults with a focus on nature connection, mentoring, community building and intergenerational learning. We currently work with over 1800 people per year, with over 500 in long term mentoring relationships where we support children to grow into healthy, active, and resilient people. Our goal is to inspire nature connection in childhood, and long term mentoring relationships to communities all across Ontario.

The Lethbridge Community Foundation acts as a leader and catalyst in enabling community development in southwestern Alberta. The Foundation will provide expertise and opportunities to connect individuals,groups and organizations for the betterment of their communities.

An anti-bullying program reaching out to all youth in North America when in need. School presentations sharing real stories that connect directly with each youth individually.

After completing their Armenian education at Alex Manoogian School, students will have a first-hand experience of connecting with their land and people. This trip will be partnered with the very successful AGBU Discover Armenia program. This fund will aim to maximize educational opportunity for every child. As they embark on this rich and unique journey, we are confident that the students will return enriched and with a deeper connection to their Armenian roots. This educational trip will not only heighten their respect for their heritage but will also prepare tomorrow’s responsible leaders.

We are a non-profit organization in the Foothills area of Alberta including Nanton, High River, Black Diamond, Claresholm, MD of Foothills, Okotoks, DeWinton, Longview, Millarville, Turner Valley, Blackie and Red Deer Lake. Foothills SNAPS supports families and community who are living with or connected to someone with special needs. We provide education, information, and support to parents, siblings and community members who are connected to someone with special needs in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

The Wellesley Institute is a Toronto-based non-profit and non-partisan research and policy institute. We focus on developing research, policy and community mobilization to advance population health. We conduct our work through four core pillars: housing, health care, economics, and immigrant health. The Wellesley Institute is a registered non-profit charity.

NGPL serves the population of the community of North Grenville with a wide range of library services and programs. The Library is currently running a building campaign Room to Read to build a new 10,000 square foot library in downtown Kemptville overlooking the South Branch of the Rideau River. Construction will begin in the Spring of 2010 with the new library opening in March 2011.

Families and Work Institute is a non-profit organization that addresses the changing nature of work and family life. We are committed to finding research-based strategies that foster mutually supportive connections among workplaces, families and communities. 

Our society values: * an appreciation and respect for the natural world, * the biodiversity of southwest British Columbia watersheds in a variety of settings and seasons, * a lasting interest in the stewardship of wilderness areas, * First Nations history and culture, and * a connection to the natural world.

Bhutan has a unique identity as the last sovereign, independent Buddhist kingdom in the Himalayas. Despite its tiny size and its small population, and despite its powerful neighbors- Tibet and China to the north and India to the south, Bhutan has never been occupied by invading forces. This means it has retained a very ancient and vibrant culture that is deeply Buddhist in all its aspects. Most of the population are subsistence farmers and herders barely making a living on difficult, remote and road-less mountainous terrain. Per capita annual income is one of the world's lowest. But compassion, harmony, environmental protection and cultural preservation are traditional and key values in this country. As the country carefully integrates into the modern 21st century, it is more important than ever to establish mature and well educated women throughout the country - grounded in their culture and free to express their compassionate action both in their own country and abroad.

AASEE is dedicated to advancing science and engineering education at the K-12 level. We work directly with students in the classroom. AASEE designs curriculum-based and fun hands-on activities through collaborative research, where we try to ensure a maximum engagement of teachers and parents along with the students. We provide training and resources to pre-university educators. We also create opportunities for the students to learn directly from experts and leaders in the respective fields. AASEE gives priority to diverse populations, namely Canada’s first nations peoples, girls, and those in financial need, as well as rural populations. We are mandated to work across the globe, and are implementing an ambitious plan. At AASEE we target tomorrow´s leaders in science and engineering who will be working with a true passion. We believe advancing science and engineering education is the right way to go, and the right thing to do.
