At Pretend City, we believe young children learn best through play, families are our childrens first and most important teachers, diversity enriches childrens lives, and play changes the world. Our vision is to ensure that each child is ready for school success by providing real-world learning experiences that children need to develop essential foundational learning skills.

The Mark Ross Montessori Foundation (MRMF) is a 501(c)3 entity whose mission is to provide financial support to Ross Montessori School (RMS), a public charter school. We oversee and participate in major fundraising campaigns and events, grant requests, and individual donor solicitation. These monies are used by RMS for construction and renovation of facilities, educational programming, teacher development, and operational support.

Redwood Cooperative School was established in 2014 with the goal of fostering children’s creativity and curiosity through progressive, project-based learning. Through experiential education, we aim to create a learning environment that nurtures the whole child. Redwood School equally promotes all disciplines of education from Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Nature, Music, Visual Art and Play. Our cooperative model allows for collaboration between classroom teachers, program specialists and parents. This pooling of time, talents and resources promotes a deep level of learning and allows for our children to be immersed in their educational experience, fostering their innate thirst for knowledge. Our programs promote the arts and emphasize the strong connection to nature and the outdoors while maintaining high standards in core content areas such as Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. At Redwood, blended grade classrooms encourage the development of social and emotional intelligence, providing the students opportunities to interact through group work and free play. Our student to instructor ratio is low (approximately 6 to 1) as we have one Head teacher in the classroom, an assistant teacher and a parent each day. We celebrate diversity by allowing children to be themselves and providing a learning experience that meets each student’s individual needs. Redwood strives to provide all this at a tuition rate that is affordable to most families. Financial aid is available.

The East Palo Alto Kids Foundation (EPAK) is a community-based, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to promote educational opportunity and academic success for students in East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park. EPAK provides micro-grants directly to classroom teachers and finds sponsors to fund sponsored projects that significantly impact the learning environment for more than one classroom of students.

The Washington Waldorf School (WWS) cultivates each student's capacity to think clearly, feel compassionately, and act purposefully in the world. We are committed to the educational movement inspired by the pioneering work of Rudolf Steiner and advanced by Waldorf teachers worldwide. WWS combines classical academics with a reverence for the natural world for all of our students. We provide a physically, intellectually, and emotionally stimulating curriculum for every phase of child development

BECA exists to promote cultural exchange and provide affordable bilingual education. In our volunteer-driven bilingual school model, Central American students learn from dedicated volunteer teachers, and those volunteers learn from the community in which they are immersed. Providing educational access and empowerment to the most financially disadvantaged members of a community is a defining characteristic of our program; it should come as no surprise that "beca" means scholarship in Spanish.

We believe that education is the most powerful tool to build peace and to break the cycle of war. We also believe that every child, regardless of circumstance, should have access to a quality education.Justice Rising builds peace in war-affected communities by providing quality education to children at risk. We build schools, train teacher leaders, and develop community programs towards the goal of promoting peace and mitigating future conflict.

Founded in 1989 as a private, non-profit foundation to foster excellence in the Tift County Public Schools, the Foundation now has over 1750 individual and corporate patrons. The Foundation supports its mission through the following: Academic Chairs Endowment Program Howard Center Academic Team Grants Annual Teacher Incentive Grants Accelerated Reader Program, which resulted in Tifton becoming the Reading Capital of the World Excellence in Teaching Awards and Banquet

At Poker Hill School we view learning developmentally. It is a process which we can nurture and guide but we trust each child to develop in his or her own unique way. Prairie Green School will: educate the whole child by teaching according to student readiness and interest; maximize student learning by having a year-round school calendar; have the ability to differentiate instruction due to small class size and homeschooling environment; provide quality individualized curriculum that is relevant to students; have a strong focus on schooling for sustainability; allow for students to have a voice through our democratic school structure; have dedicated and loving teachers, staff, and volunteers that carry out the school's ideals every minute of every day.

The Abraham Joshua Heschel School is an independent Jewish day school named in memory of one of the great Jewish leaders, teachers, and activists of the 20th century and dedicated to the values that characterized Rabbi Heschel’s life:  intellectual exploration, integrity, love of the Jewish people and tradition, and a commitment to social justice. The Heschel School is a pluralistic, egalitarian community that includes families from a wide range of Jewish backgrounds, practices and beliefs.  Boys and girls, men and women participate equally in all aspects of the school’s religious, intellectual, and communal life.
