The Longhorn Project at Johnson Space Center is an innovative educational partnership among The Longhorn Project, a 501(c) (3) charitable nonprofit organization, NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC), the Houston Livestock Show and RodeoTM, area school districts, and the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America. The LHP’s purposes are twofold: 1) To provide students with a unique educational experiences that combines an agricultural and STEM curriculum with leadership and personal growth opportunities in a hands-on, working environment; and 2) To promote the preservation and legacy of the Texas registered Longhorn, the cattle native to the state of Texas.
The Grayson School provides a research-based, accelerated PreK–12 education specifically for gifted learners, aiming to challenge their intellect and support social‑emotional growth.
