The Foundation exist to promote and inspire reading and literacy, while honoring the legacy and memory of a teacher by the name of Joseph Riley Armstead, III, His passion for the success of children and reading is carried forward through book donations to children and scholarships offered in his name.

The expectation is clearly understood by all members of the community that social responsibility and impeccable ethical standards are as important as intellectual, athletic and artistic achievement. As a single-sex school, the Academy provides opportunities for leadership in academic endeavors, athletics, student government, visual and performing arts, community service and School publications.

The Waldorf School of Princeton, part of an independent educational movement of more than 1,000 schools worldwide, is dedicated to recognizing the unique spirit in each child. Christ our Shepherd, following Christ’s example of love and compassion, strives to: * provide quality, Christian-based children’s programs and education for all children, regardless of family structure; * empower, minister to and advocate for the unique needs of single parents; and * provide educational resources to the community through the Matthews Christian library.

The mission of the Tandana Foundation is to empower individuals of various cultural backgrounds with an increased awareness of the world, other cultures, and themselves, and with an expanded sense of their possibilities; promote positive, caring interactions between people of different backgrounds and encourage consideration and lessening of global inequalities; and promote respect and responsibility toward one's self, all people, and the Earth.

Hilltop Children’s Center is an internationally recognized school and professional development institute of early learning in Seattle. Hilltop has been providing and promoting child-centered early education for children aged 2 to 10 since 1971. Our vision: Hilltop honors and trusts children, engages families, and inspires educators to create a more just and joyful world. Our mission: Hilltop is transforming early childhood education through play, collaboration, and reflection: in our classrooms with children, partnerships with families, and professional development with educators.

Potomac Crescent Waldorf school is devoted to educating children according Rudolf Steiner's insights and pedagogy. We educate the whole child: head, heart, and hands. The individual child is at the center of all we do. In the pre-school we prepare the child for schoolwork by encouraging healthy play. In the grade school, our teachers aim to allow each child to grow gradually and naturally into the subjects they study, because then they will love what they learn. Committed to serve and reflect our locality of Northern Virginia near the District of Columbia, the faculty work together as colleagues to allow the Waldorf approach to provide each child with a future-oriented education, in which lasting capacities and skills will serve the student for life.

Our philosophy is based on the belief that every child is a wonderful gift from God, made in his image and likeness, and they are filled with dignity, goodness, and an incredible potential for discovery, learning, and growth. We also believe parents are the primary teachers of their preschool children and they are entrusting their children to our loving care. Storefront Academy seeks to provide children of varied academic strengths quality educational opportunities, preparing them academically, socially and emotionally to become critical thinkers, high-achieving students and well-rounded individuals. Working in partnership with families and community members, Storefront Academy instills a powerful sense of self, and gives its students the tools to own the future and create meaningful adult lives.
