General Goal of the Work: Rhino calves that are orphaned in the wild rarely survive. The mission of Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary (CFWRS) is to rescue every rhino that is orphaned, to heal and rehabilitate them and provide a secure environment where they can grow, roam free, and breed to ensure that there will always be rhinos in Africa. Specific Objective: Our specific objective is to secure free ranging Black and White Rhinoceros in protected sanctuaries across Africa, to ensure the survival of the species for future generations. Methods that Are Used by Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary NPC: Rescue: When there is a poaching incident involving a rhino - rangers from South African National Parks (SANParks), Provincial Parks and/or private rhino owners call CFWRS. Time is of the essence, as rhino calves are vulnerable to predators without the protection of their mothers and are often severely injured by the poachers. CFWRS negotiates a helicopter to track the exact position of the orphaned rhino. Depending on how big it is, a decision will be made to either send in vehicles to fetch it or it will be airlifted to our sanctuary immediately. Radios are used to alert staff to be on standby in the intensive care section at CFWRS especially if the baby rhino is wounded. Veterinarians, plastic surgeons and other experts are also called in to tend to the rhino calf. Emergency measures are used to save as many orphaned rhino as we possibly can. Rehabilitation: CFWRS has high-quality bomas (enclosures) that house the rhinos during the early stages of their rehabilitation. The bomas have been built to South African National Park (SANParks) standards. All rhinos are supplied with clean water, nutritious feed, and an area for mud bathing. Upon their arrival, the rhinos (depending on their injuries) are housed in the intensive care facility that has the ability to regulate temperatures. Once stabilised, they are moved to the centre's high care facility to be integrated with the other rhinos. This is where they are able to form rhino crashes and unique bonds. All rhinos are housed indoors during the first three to five months of their rehabilitation (or for as long as is necessary) and during this time the rhinos are observed and monitored. Release: Upon a successful rehabilitation, orphaned rhinos are released into the CFWRS intensive protection zone. This stronghold was created specifically to protect rhinos. On releasing the rhino into the Stronghold all rhino are protected by CFWRS unique security system, which includes rhino monitors in close proximity with the rhino 24 hours a day, 365 day per year. They are backed by a professional armed reaction team that consists of armed game scouts supported by trained K9 handlers and dogs. Boundary fences are patrolled every day by the mounted patrol unit.

AIMS: HADA works in partnership with communities throughout the world to provide compassion, relief, training and development. OBJECTIVES: The objects for which the association is established are - To provide direct relief to people who are experiencing poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, destitution and/or helplessness of such seriousness as would arouse pity or compassion in the community. As a means of achieving this, the organisation will undertake the following activities: 2.1. To provide administrative and logistical support to new and existing projects. 2.2. To provide skills and training with the object of achieving autonomy for the projects. 2.3. To provide and support plans for the development of communities in ways which will improve their quality of life. 2.4. To do such other things of a social, community or benevolent nature as will assist in the creation of a better society. 2.5. To integrate all projects as part of the local community.

Join Bands, Not Gangs is a registered Non-Profit from Cape Town, South Africa (Reg.2018/341617/08) that acts as a supply chain for musical instruments. We use donated instruments to start programs that can help at-risk youth avoid joining gangs by staying constructively busy. So far so good! Our mission is to find and bring in musical instruments (new and used) and then re-distribute them to underprivileged communities in a systematic way. We do this by partnering with fellow Non-Profits, Community Programs and Schools in the community on a grassroots level, thereby ensuring that music programs are sustainable and locally run. Our goal is to bring in and redistribute 1 million instruments.

Love Story Foundation is a charity aimed at meeting the needs of the community in Port Elizabeth. We have a desire to be involved in community upliftment and development and would like to start a culture of "giving back to the community" amongst the public of this region. Our projects include feeding schemes for the homeless and destitute, early childhood development programmes in underprivileged schools and distribution of food parcels and clothing to those in need. The Paardeberg Sustainability Initiative (PSI) was conceived in 2001, in recognition of threats to the biodiversity and natural resources of the Paardeberg , a privately-owned mountain in the Western Cape, South Africa. A primary threat is economic pressure facing some 50 farmers and landowners of the mountaintop and surrounding areas.Additional and aggravating threats are global climate shifts, poverty, limited statehood. compromised capacity, education and implementation/enforcement of legislation. These challenges must be addressed to fulfill world guidelines (Agenda 21,SDG's, et) for sustainable development. PSI is currently a VAT- registered Non Profit company [NPC] and Public Benefit Organisation with Section 18A tax exempt status. It is aligned with several partners which share its vision and operate in the Paardeberg, and in this sense can be described as collaborative facilitator. Through fundraising for various integrated non-profitable projects, the PSI seeks to promote sustainability in the Paardeberg and in broader Southern African contexts. The PSI also encourages local profitable enterprises to contribute generously and tax-efficiently to a central fund that is managed by the Board of Directors of the PSI. These funds are either 'ring- fenced' for specific projects, or allocated to projects requiring support, through a process that seeks to fulfill both the agenda of the donor and the mandate of the PSI. The PSI houses both enterprises (SMME's) and projects. Projects depend on the PSI for funding, while the enterprises represent potential sources of funds/assets for the PSI. The PSI acts as an umbrella offering core functions of administration, marketing, HR management, accounting, etc to all projects and SMME's based on an economy of scale. It is thus an ideal incubator to develop new businesses while minimizing risk. The vision of the PSI is to create a successful model of sustainable development, promoted by profitable enterprises and non-profitable projects, co-operating in partnerships that oversee responsible management of natural resources and biodiversity , within an economic framework that obviates the plague of poverty and social decay while upholding the law and supportive of good governance. The PSI has housed several projects, including the Paardeberg Fire Project, Paardeberg Environmental Awareness and Response(ongoing), Paardeberg Alternative Energy Solutions, Paardeberg Botanical Surveys, PSI NatReM Project and the Paardeberg Erosion Project. It is also acting as an incubator of SMME's engaged in these and other projects. All finances are conducted through a central bank account, but independently managed and audited for each project/business separately, as per the PSI MOI. The PSI does not prejudice the independence of enterprises or projects falling within its ambit. However, its role in protecting biodiversity and natural resources influences the directives it generates. Participation of all interested and affected parties of any single project or enterprise is key to the application of these directives.

We achieve our vision through the holistic model we have developed, by: creating top quality learning environments in which principals, teachers and learners can flourish and grow, assisting principals to develop their education-provision businesses, making them sustainable and professional, training principals and teachers to provide a top class education to their learners empowering parents to actively support their children through training and development initiatives, providing empowerment for all stakeholders through development of resources, including physical and information technology infrastructure.
