Denis Miki Foundation supports the development of underdeveloped communities and groups through empowerment, capacity building, education for sustainable development, talent promotion and wealth creation. Our mission is to reduce poverty by running community empowerment programs and solutions like the DMF Impact Hub and Efeti Ventures Inc. Equine Angels Foundation is a volunteer run horse rescue dedicated to nurturing the spirit and well-being of children in need within the Orlando community and its surrounding area through programmed horse activities. We provide a fun, positive, healthy, and encouraging ranch environment where our volunteers work one on one with children ranging in age from 4-18 as they care for and ride our rescued horses.With the knowledge that children are unique in their own ways, our program is geared towards the individual wants, needs, and specific abilities of each child. Family involvement is key to what we do. We ask that parents accompany their child and share in their triumphs while getting a chance to breathe and relax in the open air of our ranch facilities. In addition to providing a place where at risk children and children facing challenges gain increased self-confidence, hope, and self-worth, we also provide a loving forever home to rescued horses.

The Children's Radio Foundation (CRF) uses radio training and broadcast to create opportunities for youth dialogue, participation, leadership, and active citizenship. Through giving youth the tools and skills to produce radio, young people are mobilized to engage in productive dialogue about the issues they face, and work together to improve their lives and communities. With 74 youth radio projects across six African countries, CRF works with radio stations and CBOs to create local platforms for discussion, information sharing, social engagement, and action. Our reporters take on issues that resonate with youth in their community, including but not limited to children's rights, sexual reproductive health and rights, power dynamics in teenage relationships, gender norms and stereotypes, HIV and AIDS-related issues, climate change, and the environment. Speaking in local languages and in a youth-friendly style, they interview community members, host debates, and bring out local perspectives. Their reporting projects, broadcasts, and outreach activities are geared to generate discussion about issues facing youth.

The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation grants comfort and hope to those affected by epilepsy through providing monitoring resources, vital information, and a safe haven for conversation and community. Our main goal is to raise awareness of SUDEP and to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families living with epilepsy. We raise funds to provide education about SUDEP and to provide seizure response dog grants and movement monitors that help to protect against SUDEP. We stay up-to-date on current trends in medical technology in order to be able to provide the most effective devices as they become available. We provide financial assistance for what we believe to be life-saving movement monitors, grants for seizure-response service dogs and Chelsea's Wish Trips to Epilepsy Expos across the US each year. We respect the value and quality of life of every person living with epilepsy. We are dedicated to providing opportunities that allow individuals and families greater independence, increased confidence, ability to enjoy social environments, and community understanding.

Bududa Learning Center is an umbrella organization that includes a vocational high school, an orphans program for children, and a microfinance program for women. It is located in the isolated mountain district of eastern Uganda. It was founded by Canadian-born Barbara Wybar, who has been living on site a portion of each year for the past 14 years. This isolated region, one of the poorest in Uganda, is over-populated with most families having an average of 8 children. They live by growing their own food. Most of the region has no running water or electricity. Both the education and health care system are severely under-funded and inadequate. Jobs are scarce. Most people are hungry most of the time. How & Who We Help. We work to address the problems in three ways: 1. Training young people in basic trades: carpentry; brick-laying; dress-making and tailoring; nursery teacher training; computer skills training; and hairdressing training. 2. Providing broad support to 170 children and young people, many of them orphans from AIDS, by providing education enrichment, food, and health care. 3. Training and providing micro finance loans to single mothers and grandmothers in the region who are bringing up children on their own and have no means of support, so they can start small businesses. How It Is Run The Center is staffed by Ugandans working in a professional capacity. Barbara Wybar acts as Executive Director and works in a volunteer capacity. There is a growing volunteer contingent of people from the west who visit and do volunteer work there and others who take on management and administrative work in Canada and the US in a volunteer capacity. A guest house and annex provide housing for up to 12 visiting volunteers at a time. Local Oversight A local Advisory Board of the Center, led by Father Paul Buyela, provides oversight to the headmaster of the school and the directors of the two other programs. It is made up of representatives of the teachers, the parents, the regional education board, and the community as well as the executive director. The chairman is a highly respected educator as well as clerical leader in the region at large. Governance and Financial Support Bududa Canada Foundation provides governance to the Center and raises funds from individuals, foundations, and organizations to support the Center. It is incorporated in Canada holds charitable status from the Canadian Revenue Authority (#82535 8286 RR0001). There is a board directors of five people, three of whom are Canadian and two American. Financial support comes from Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Research and Development of local language ICTs for education innovations for 21st Century for the empowerment of marginalized youth. It focuses on providing access to national education and local language advanced technology skill development. Shilpa Sayura has significantly contributed to rural education via Nenasala Telecentres and schools nationwide. Currently, the organization is at the forefront of equipping youth with skills in programming, IoT, Machine Learning, AI, and robotics, steering them towards careers in emerging technologies. This initiative is bolstered by support from Google Education, Internet Society, Adobe Inc., and the APNIC Foundation. TOUCHLIVES ALBERT FOUNDATION, based in Portharcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria, West Africa. That Carter's to the welfare and wellbeing of the orphans, vulnerable and lesspriviled children (OVC) in our communities in Nigeria. The TimeHeroes Foundation was founded in 2011 with the goal to build and develop the volunteering culture in Bulgaria. Today the organisation runs the largest volunteering platform in Bulgaria - TimeHeroes.org. By the end of January 2018, TimeHeroes.org has matched 638 organisations which need support for their causes with over 40 000 individuals who wish to donate their time and skills. So far the volunteers have taken part 65 379 times in 1400 volunteering initiatives (called missions) in 175 towns across Bulgaria. The platform is the main, and often sole, source for Bulgarian nonprofit organizations and active citizens to recruit volunteers. To achieve our mission to develop Bulgaria's volunteering culture, we run several further projects. ANNUAL AWARDS We established the annual volunteering awards THE HEROES, which reward outstanding volunteers, organisers, responsible companies and media (after open nominations), and promote and stimulate volunteering as a whole. In 2017 a jury selected 23 of the 226 nominees and these were announced at an official ceremony that was widely covered in media, was attended by 250+ guests and was streamed 26 000 times. YOUTH VOLUNTEERING We are growing a network of school and university volunteer clubs across the country. Over 30 clubs are currently active with 500+ student members organising their own community-based initiatives or supporting existing volunteer missions held by local nonprofits. SENIORS' VOLUNTEER PHONE LINE We operate a National Volunteers' Phone Line volunteering telephone line as an alternative to the website for people without access to the internet or a computer, mainly targeting seniors and retirees. This project aims to tackle the pervasive societal isolation in this age group in Bulgaria. CAPACITY BUILDING Through workshops and systematised good practices we are actively building the capacity of Bulgarian nongovernmental organisations for working with volunteers. In 2015-2016 we collected and systematised the experience of 250 Bulgarian NGOs working with volunteers. We are sharing this know-how in a wiki platform, a 100-page handbook and a series of workshops. Over 1000 NGOs have received the handbook, about 100 have so far participated in our highly-rated workshops. We also fundraise and distribute monthly small grants enabling volunteer involvement in causes.

CTF was born from the idea that the world would be a better place if we were all given the opportunity to give back. Established by a group of water women, we feel it is our calling to help others by teaming up with local organizations globally to raise awareness and address social, environmental, health and safety concerns in the places we visit. We aim to bridge the gap between the traveler and our projects enabling travelers to add a life-changing experience to their journeys and add purpose to travel.

Our mission is to use the sport of rugby as a mean to enhance sustainable development goals for the well-being of children and youths living in urban slums and rural areas in Kenya through education, professional development, character building and resilience, and community welfare programs.
