Taghyeer Organization/ We Love Reading Program is an innovative model that provides a practical, cost efficient, sustainable, grassroots approach empowering communities from low and mid income communities around the world to create changemakers through reading. WLR supports the activism of local volunteers to increase reading levels among children 2-10 by focusing on the readaloud experience to instill the love of reading for pleasure among children to become lifelong learners. We aim to create system change. We create changemakers by recruiting and training adults and youth from local communities to provide read-aloud sessions for local children in safe, public spaces. Each year, WLR volunteers read to tens of thousands of children in public parks, community centers, mosques and other faith-based settings, nurseries, refugee camps, and other locales. We serve diverse populations and communities irrespective of gender, religion, social status, disability, literacy level, educational experience, etc. The training is either implemented in face-to-face settings or via our online platform to allow reaching wider audience of people wanting to volunteer and become reading ambassadors.

NRC's vision is a world where rights are respected, and people are protected. We work in new and protracted crises across 40 countries to ensure that those forced to flee are safer and can exercise their rights, quickly access the services needed to regain control of their lives and are able to become self-reliant and find solutions. Our focus is on populations and people affected by displacement, including IDPs, refugees, returnees, and host communities supporting displaced people. In Moldova, NRC's mission is to support displaced and displacement-affected people to achieve self-reliance on the pathway to obtaining durable solutions. We undertake this through five core thematic areas - Livelihoods, Education, Legal protection (Information, Counseling, and Legal Assistance), Shelter, and WASH. Protection is mainstreamed across our response. With displacement becoming protracted, NRC is committed to longer-term response solutions to support displaced people to obtain self-reliance and experience greater inclusion in existing systems, while retaining tightly focused humanitarian assistance for those with enduring basic needs. A partnerships approach in collaboration with local actors is a defining characteristic of our mission.

Her Innovation Cameroon (HIC) is a non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit organisation focused on advocating for the rights of women and girls, fostering their interest in STEM, enhancing STEM education for girls and ensuring they have access to all needed resources. It seeks to engage girls and women from all ten regions of Cameroon in participation and inclusion in the governance process through seminars, conferences and projects. HIC fosters inclusive participation in democratic and governance processes. We envision a just and equitable society where women and youth are empowered to lead and shape their communities. Our values of equity, accountability, grassroots empowerment, pan-African solidarity, and transformative leadership, guide every aspect of our work. HIC is headquartered in Buea, South West Region, and is formally registered to operate nationwide. With focal points in three regions and ambitions for expansion, we are deeply embedded in local communities and attuned to the lived realities of marginalized populations. HIC works to enhance social justice and social change through working collaboratively with young women and men, as well as local communities and stakeholders. One Common Unity (OCU) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that breaks cycles of violence and builds compassionate, healthy communities through the transformative power of music, arts, and peace education. Youth in Washington, D.C. are four times more likely to die by homicide than by the next closest cause. Students (ages 11-18) in our programs grapple with community violence, crime, poverty, drugs and high rates of incarceration, all of which reinforce cyclical trauma. Structural violence and racism, enforced through housing policies, access to educational opportunities, and an unequal distribution of resources, adds further hurdles to the lives of youth and their families. Building upon their incredible resilience, One Common Unity provides safe, supportive spaces where youth discover their authentic selves, connect with nature, and are equipped with the skills, tools, and support to disrupt cycles of violence and poverty.

Siketis Nergi (Sapling of kindness) is a nonprofit organization based in Georgia, dedicated to supporting children and elderly people from families living below the poverty line. Our mission is to bring dignity, hope, and practical help to those who struggle the most - by providing food, essential medicine, hygiene products, and assistance with utility payments. We believe that no one should face hunger, loneliness, or cold simply because of poverty. Through our volunteers and community partners, we deliver daily care, compassion, and consistent support to the most vulnerable members of society. Beyond physical aid, we aim to restore emotional connection and a sense of belonging - reminding people that they are seen, valued, and not alone. Our work is about more than survival - it's about rebuilding hope and showing that kindness can change lives, one person at a time.

Computers For Schools Burundi 's organization has ambitions and multiple programs dedicated to the children/youth and the population in general in Burundi, in areas such as environment, education, agriculture, Leadership and entrepreneurship development and many more. With respect to education, our objective is to help develop education systems which are producers of the labor force and the intellectuals, by providing access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), which will facilitate: The use of digitized documents (powerful tools for the processing Of information: text, sound, image). Global access to information resources The provision of new tools for access to knowledge for students Communication and collaboration. Computer skills have become the basic knowledge required, needed to be efficient and cost-effective in the 21 Century where advanced technology has become an integral part of our daily lives. The first priority is access to technology (ICT): CFSB first priority is to be able to offer computers for schools and help teach students how to use it. The main component of the ICT concept is the computer, preferably with Internet access. With this, comes the need to provide computers, a computer program of first class for students and training for the teachers. The second priority is the access to information: The second priority for CFSB in the educational system is to connect the Digital Centers to the internet and finally to interconnect the schools of Burundi (education, research and communication) enabling them to participate fully in the global economy. For the above reasons, CFSB, a non-profit organization, is looking for partners with whom he can work to achieve these ambitious goals and bring hope to millions of young people, hungry to learn and contribute positively to build a better world, far from violence, crime and wars. The objective of the mission is to promote computer skills through the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for youth and communities in Burundi, to succeed in the modern economy of the 21st century by reducing poverty in their country. By helping to provide access to the Internet for educational institutions, CFSB is working to make ICT accessible to students on campuses and schools in Burundi. CFSB wants to help schools and universities to become familiar with computers and the internet to build a better future and thus make the internet accessible to the majority of young people of the developing countries to create a productive workforce.

Suncokret - Community Development Center is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 2004 in Vrginmost. The organization operates in Sisak-Moslavina County with the aim of alleviating the negative psychological, social and cultural consequences of the war and social problems in the region. Suncokret's work is focused on improving the quality of life of all community members, with a special emphasis on children and youth, community reconstruction and support for the development of a sustainable, democratic civil society. Our activities are based on working with individuals, families, groups and communities, encouraging active participation and training. We support positive initiatives, encourage mutual cooperation and respect for differences. The organization is committed to building democratic values, civic initiative and participation, community development, volunteerism and altruism, equal sharing of responsibilities and equal opportunities for all, regardless of gender, religion or nationality. In recent years, Suncokret has expanded its activities aimed at children, youth and the elderly to the earthquake-affected municipality of Topusko and the city of Glina. Over the years, Suncokret has continuously represented a stable pillar of social support for children and youth in the community, despite fluctuations in relations with local institutions. Today, institutions rely on Suncokret's provision of support to children and youth, as well as creating employment opportunities and support for the elderly in the community. Through its regular activities, with the support of younger team members from the community who grew up in Suncokret, the center's key target groups have services they can rely on: children (support in learning), the elderly (visits to the nursing home in Glina, repairs and assistance to elderly households in the villages) and the working-age population (employment through public works). During twenty years of operation, Suncokret has provided support and empowerment to several generations of children and youth from Vrginmost (over 1000 of them), as well as adults and elderly in difficult socio-economic situations. In its work, Suncokret relies to a large extent on the support of international volunteers who represent the significant human resources available to the center. To the extent possible, the Sunflower team has always tried to positively influence the development of the community through its activities and work - international volunteers have enabled generations of children and young people to get to know other cultures and accept multiculturalism, improve their language, communication and other skills; while the local team provides and coordinates community service activities. At Suncokret, volunteering means sharing and learning: volunteers learn about organic gardening, permaculture and sustainability, and in turn empower Suncokret by sharing their skills with children and youth and supporting the local community through physical work. Volunteer support made it possible to arrange access to a source of drinking water, clean up the environment, help elderly and infirm people with landscaping, work in the garden and vegetable garden, and preparation for winter. Sunsokret annually hosts over 150 volunteers and records more than 10,000 volunteer hours in the community. Suncokret mobilizes and organizes international volunteers who contribute to social inclusion, interculturalism and intergenerational cooperation with their engagement. Suncokret - Centre for Community Development is a Croatian non-governmental, non-profit organization founded as a response to the psychosocial needs of a rural, isolated, economically depressed postwar and post earthquake community facing high unemployment and depopulation. Suncokret undertakes community development work and aims to address negative psychological, social and cultural consequences of the social upheavals and post disaster response in the region, to improve the quality of life for all, but especially for deprived socially excluded members of the society, to promote community rebuilding, and support development of a sustainable democratic civil society. Reintegration and the improvement of life is essential in this area that suffered war and displacement and now again after the earthquakes needed help. Some lost their homes in the war and again in the earthquakes in 2020. Our activities assist in the reintegration of the community and ultimately contribute community building and development of inter-ethnic/national understanding, tolerance and reconciliation. Through our current activities the Community Center is a catalyst for civic and social change. Our organization promotes community development in a rural community. We aim to develop dialogue and interpersonal tolerance in a multiethnic environment through educational and creative activities and provide informal education of the local population in the post war area. We encourage and empower civil society through education, volunteerism and activism and improve the quality of life by providing education, supporting the civil society and preserving the environment. We organise international volunteer camps, local community actions and service projects and by provide education, access to information and a variety of activities otherwise not readily available in this postwar area. Libraries Without Borders is an international nonprofit that expands access to information, education and cultural resources to vulnerable populations around the world. Our interventions address the structural causes of economic and human underdevelopment, reduce the digital divide, and promote cultural resilience. By focusing on the curation and customization of educational materials, along with the logistics and security involved with delivery, storage and construction of learning spaces, we have been able to develop innovative programs, create and re-envision library spaces and support librarians in over 25 countries. Most recently, we received the Library of Congress' International Literacy Award (2016) and won the Google Impact Challenge (2015). We advocate the idea of the library as a toolbox for communities to disseminate knowledge, promote social harmony, accompany the least fortunate, and ultimately, pursue human and economic development. We work in five areas of intervention: 1. EDUCATION LWB establishes libraries and information resource centers in universities and schools. This support manifests itself in the donation of materials, technical equipment, texts, and multimedia and electronic resources. LWB also provides support to teachers in their education responsibilities by putting in place educational resource centers as well as creating educational digital content. 2. INFORMATION AND CULTURE LWB supports the development of structures providing access to books, information and culture in developing countries. LWB enters into partnerships with libraries to help them develop their textual and digital resources and set up quality cultural programs. LWB also accompanies the creation of cultural projects for specific and disadvantaged groups such as visually impaired persons, prisoners and refugee populations. 3. CAPACITY BUILDING LWB initiates innovative specialized resource projects to reinforce the capacities of specific groups such as professionals from the medical or justice sectors. In facilitating access to verified and quality-controlled information, LWB accompanies their daily work in servicing their communities as well as their scientific research. 4. CONSERVATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE LWB assists in the conservation and promotion of local written or oral heritage through the creation of specialized structures (libraries, cultural centers) and the training of personnel in these professions. Within the framework of promoting local knowledge and supporting publishers in developing countries, LWB also promotes the diffusion of local literature. 5. CULTURAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP LWB works alongside cultural entrepreneurs to design innovative and sustainable economic models. By setting up income-generating activities and training in management strategies, libraries are re-invented as social and cultural entrepreneurs with major economic benefits for their communities.

To create a rich and diversified recreational atmosphere in beautiful surroundings, which subtly promote an appreciation of nature and of the environment. To conduct research that involves the preservation, breeding, and return to the wild of various species; to participate in national and international research activities and projects in these fields; and to conduct both theoretical and practical research work in the fields of zoology, biology, and environmental science. To encourage community participation, and conduct the types of educational and cultural activities that are geared towards Jerusalem's unique and diverse population, and are accessible to all communities. To develop distinct programs and create opportunities for groups with special needs, so that they can be involved in animal care, grounds-keeping, and other useful activities throughout the zoo grounds. To make the zoo a unique and attractive tourist site, whose uniqueness derives partly from its collection of Biblical animals.

Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire's (RRFB) mission is to help protect, replenish, and restore the biodiverse coral reefs of Bonaire. We focus on implementing innovative, science-based programs that expand and strengthen populations of keystone coral reef species. We do this so that the reefs of Bonaire can gain the necessary scale, genetic diversity, and resilience to thrive today and in the uncertain, ever-changing conditions of the future. RRFB works closely with key stakeholders on Bonaire (governments, the marine park, divers and dive operators, local businesses, and other non-profits) to spearhead reef restoration on the island. RRFB actively engages with and inspires Bonaire's residents and visitors with interactive educational programs and events. Our core mission is dependent upon a growing force of well-trained local volunteers. RRFB partners with world-class scientists and science-backed organizations to accelerate our work, refine our restoration techniques, and properly communicate our progress here on Bonaire. RRFB is committed to seeking international recognition for Bonaire as a Coral Reef Restoration Center of Excellence. RRFB attracts scientists and restoration practitioners from around the globe who come to Bonaire in search of proper training techniques and best-practice education.

The Foundation Casa Tres Patios (C3P) is a center for contemporary thought that promotes social justice through research, critical pedagogy, creativity and capacity building. C3P works with vulnerable populations including children, young people, prison inmates, community groups and other institutions. We articulate our research program with our educational program so that we can clearly understand the situations of each community group in order to reduce poverty and economic inequality by providing skills that compliment the formal education system and which are necessary in the 21st century to acquire decent work. We promote gender equality, peace and justice in order to create an environment in which all citizens can live and work freely without fear and repression. Our programs have benefited more than 5,000 people including 3,000 girls, boys and young people, members of the LGTBI community, ex-FARC combatants, municipal employees, inmates in the prison system in Medellin, other community based organizations and the general public in Medellin and the surrounding areas. Through our research and educational programs we inspire, motivate and accompany individuals and organizations in the creation of new visions for the future, and in turning those visions into reality.

With the goal of helping under-served communities in India, Nepal, and Tibet receive the vital services they need, Karuna-Shechen was founded in 2000 by Matthieu Ricard (www.matthieuricard.org), renown TED speaker, author, and humanitarian. We strive to reduce inequalities and work toward a fairer and more compassionate world. We trust that communities can be lifted out of poverty, that change is possible, and that the well-being of every individual, regardless of race, gender, class, or caste, is essential. We believe that building on local strengths and knowledge is the most efficient way to respond to the specific needs and aspirations of our beneficiaries. Rooted in the ideal of "compassion in action", we serve others with joy and determination by cultivating altruism in our hearts and actions. We provide vulnerable and disadvantaged populations access to health care, education and vocational training, clean water, solar electricity, and other sustainable solutions that offer options to find a livelihood and a better life. We work with a grassroots network of local partners, and give special attention to the education and empowerment of girls and women. Karuna-Shechen's name expresses its mission while paying homage to its roots: Karuna means "compassion" in Sanskrit, and Shechen is the name of a major monastery in Tibet.
