The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to wildlife conservation in Africa. Established in 1961, AWF has been Africa's conservation organization and is uniquely positioned to promote conservation of wildlife and wild lands in a modern Africa. We work with people - our supporters worldwide and our partners in Africa - to craft and deliver creative solutions for the long-term well-being of Africa's remarkable species, their habitats, and the people who depend upon them. Today, AWF is the only global conservation organization that implements Africa-led strategies and programs.

As California State Parks’ statutory non-profit partner, we have a clear mission – to help strengthen parks and inspire all people to experience these extraordinary places. We are an independent 501c3 organization that supports California State Parks. What does it mean to be "the statutory partner?" That just means we were created by an act of the Legislature to address a big need identified by Governor Brown's blue-ribbon panel on the future of parks. The Parks Forward Commission concluded in 2016 that State Parks need a non-profit partner, or what they termed "a support entity." So, we were founded in 2019 to full this important need. Why would a state agency like The Department of Parks and Recreation, need a non-profit partner? Well, the short answer is: the same reason National Parks need the National Parks Foundation. Closer to home, the same reason every public school needs a PTA or parent association. That is, to fund and to implement innovative and critical programs that are not covered by the public funds. Put another way, to be the nimble partner of State Parks, what some have called "the R&D arm" of State Parks. If we want parks to be strong for the next generations, we need to be thinking now about equitable access (making sure that people from all backgrounds can get to and feel welcome at parks), and about climate resilience. Those are two of the key areas of work for Parks California. Parks California is helping make parks more welcoming, inclusive, and climate resilient. Earth Island Institute (EII) was founded in 1982 by veteran environmentalist David R. Brower (1912 - 2000) to encourage the efforts of creative individuals on critical ecological issues. EII supports diverse new initiatives and provides a stable base for on-going projects. This network of 60 projects shares central resources and benefits from the synergetic exchange of experience, ideas, and energy. EII has been widely recognized for its unique organizational model that "reduces, reuses, and recycles" resources, freeing individual projects to communicate with their constituencies and to respond quickly to evolving environmental and social justice challenges. Earth Island continues its pursuit of David Brower's ideal of Global CPR -- conservation, preservation, and restoration for planet Earth.

The Lands Council works to protect and restore the Inland Northwest’s forests, rivers, and wildlife by combining advocacy, community education, on-the-ground restoration (riparian and watershed work), and urban-forest programs that expand canopy in underserved neighborhoods. Their work focuses on policy advocacy, restoration projects, and community engagement to improve ecosystem and community resilience.

The Union of Concerned Scientists puts rigorous, independent science to work to solve our planet's most pressing problems. Joining with citizens across the country, we combine technical analysis and effective advocacy to create innovative, practical solutions for a healthy, safe, and sustainable future.

Plastic Oceans International is fostering sustainable communities to end plastic pollution globally. Through our programs in Education, Activism, Advocacy and Science, we are inspiring change in consumer behavior, corporate practices and public policy.

Rainforest Trust purchases and protects threatened rainforests and saves endangered wildlife through community engagement and local partnerships.

The mission of the nonprofit Monterey Bay Aquarium is to inspire conservation of the ocean.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation provides private support to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation activities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

The Marine Mammal Center is a nonprofit veterinary hospital, research and educational center dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals, primarily elephant seals, harbor seals, and California sea lions. Its research team studies the causes of illness in these animals, and by doing so, learns about conditions affecting the health of marine mammal populations and the oceans – discovering conditions that can affect humans as well. In addition, the Center’s education programs teach thousands of students and the visiting public each year about marine mammals and the urgent need for environmental stewardship of earth’s marine environments.

Mission Blue is an initiative of the Sylvia Earle Alliance (S.E.A.) to explore and care for the ocean. We draw inspiration from the vision of our founder, Dr. Sylvia Earle, to ignite public support for the protection of Hope Spots – special places that are vital to the health of the ocean, the blue heart of our planet. By uniting a coalition of partners from around the globe, we are committed to inspiring an upwelling of public awareness, access and support for a worldwide network of marine protected areas ranging from the seamounts of the high seas to shallow sunlit reefs, and to supporting a significant increase in ocean protection from less than three percent today to 20% by the year 2020.

The Ocean Foundation (TOF) is a unique community foundation with a mission to support, strengthen, and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world. Our slogan is "Tell Us What You Want To Do For The Ocean, We Will Take Care Of The Rest." We work with a community of donors who care about the coasts and oceans. In this manner, we grow the financial resources available to support marine conservation in order to promote healthy ocean ecosystems and benefit the human communities that depend on them. We operate using a well-established business model (the community foundation) to serve donors and partners interested in marine conservation. TOF does this by increasing the capacity of conservation organizations, hosting projects and funds, and supporting those working to improve the health of ocean species globally. To do this, we raise millions of dollars each year to support marine conservation. These funds come from individuals, corporate donors, private foundations, and governments. We meet our mission through five lines of business: Fiscal Sponsorship Fund services, Field of Interest grantmaking Funds, green Resort Partnerships, Committee and Donor Advised Funds, and Consulting services.
