We help install and monitor barrier fencing and culverts to reduce road mortality of amphibians in coastal British Columbia. We monitor how well these mitigation efforts work to improve habitat connectivity. We also help protect wetlands from habitat destruction, pollution, invasive species, and disease. We share information and promote stewardship of wetland habitats through public slideshows, workshops, school programs and by providing scientific advice to land owners and local planning departments. We highlight the connection between productive wetland habitat, water quality and human health in our presentations.

Friends of Edgewood Natural Preserve engages in land and wildlife stewardship nature education and interpretive programs that support Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve. Our mission is to protect Edgewood's extraordinary biodiversity and foster lasting connections with Edgewood and the larger natural world.

Piedmont Land Conservancy protects our region's natural lands, farms and waters for present and future generations. PLC connects people with nature.Areas served in North Carolina: Alamance, Caswell, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry and Yadkin Counties.

The Garden works to deepen people’s connection to plants and the natural world by offering public gardens, environmental education, and community programs that preserve and showcase local plant communities. It focuses on hands-on learning, stewardship, and providing accessible spaces for recreation, events, and conservation.

VAST workshops and clinics are offered to communities that rarely see veterinary or animal husbandry services. We train local animal health workers in food animal care, disease prevention and treatment, and biosecurity. The goal is to recognise key diseases in livestock before they become fatal, as well as give locals the opportunity to have their animals health checked. A secondary goal is to deliver needed veterinary medicines and supplies to communities. Our next visit is to Haiti. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western hemisphere, with some of the highest infant mortality, illiteracy and infectious disease rates found globally. Since the earthquake in 2010, a cholera epidemic has also impacted the population, compromising their ability to rebuild. As more than 80% of the population survives on less than $2 US/day, farmers are unable to pay for proper animal care. Unfortunately for most rural Haitians, their family's wealth and security are tied up in the few animals they own.

Memphis Botanic Garden strives to enhance lives by connecting people with nature, increasing awareness and appreciation of our environment. Our 96-acre property includes 29 specialty gardens, which provide an in-depth look into various families of plants, flowers, and trees.

"Connecting the Unconnected" - to provide e-mail to remote health and education facilities via solar-powered HF-Radio links - to identify & train indiginous organizations with which to partner to provide HF-Radio E-Mail communications to/from the rest of the e-mail world

Jenkins stewards 48 acres of public gardens and woodlands to connect people with plants and place through conservation, public education, and community programs. The organization preserves native and rare plant collections while offering free access, classes, and outreach to foster environmental stewardship.

The Rose Kennedy Greenway is a mile-and-a-half of contemporary parks in the heart of Boston. The Greenway, a roof garden atop a highway tunnel, connects people and the city with beauty and fun. The non-profit Conservancy maintains, programs, and improves the Greenway on behalf of the public and in partnership with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Ecology in Classrooms and Outdoors (ECO) inspires elementary school students to connect to our natural world through hands-on ecology enrichment programs. Our programs include a series of nature lessons + activities in students' classrooms and schoolyards, and culminate in service-learning projects in the students' community.

The mission of the Adirondack Council is to ensure the ecological integrity and wild character of the Adirondack Park. We envision an Adirondack Park composed of large core wilderness areas, connected to working farms and forests, and augmented by vibrant communities, all within a diverse mosaic of biologically intact landscapes.
