ROUGE VALLEY FOUNDATION

The Rouge Valley Foundation is a charitable organization, which has worked for 25 years to protect the natural and cultural heritage of the Rouge Valley. To work closely with the community, the Foundation opened the doors of the Rouge Valley Conservation Centre (RVCC). The RVCC supports & complements various environmental groups that work out of the centre and in the Rouge Valley watershed. Currently the RVCC serves as the headquarters of the Citizen Scientists and 10,000 trees to name a couple. Our yearly fundraising events include Ride for the Rouge and Rouge Valley Eco Exploration. We also offer school programs and hikes to the general public. In 2009 we launched our green energy initiative to educate the community about alternative energy and we began implementing our own green energy solutions.

SASKATCHEWAN NURSES FOUNDATION

The Saskatchewan Nurses Foundation (SNF) is a registered charity that provides bursaries to eligible Registered Nurses who are pursuing continuing nursing education at the baccalaureate, masters or doctoral level or in clinical nursing courses of at least 15 days in length. After graduation, SNF bursary recipients must work in the province for one year for every $1000.00 received.
