Its mission is to is to enhance, beautify, protect, and clean greater Misquamicut Beach and surrounding areas and any other lawful purpose of a non-profit corporation in Rhode Island. Because of its 501(c)(3) status the foundation can accept donations and be eligible for many grants to help make our favorite place in the world, better than ever.

SQUAMISH COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Squamish Community Foundation is an independent, charitable organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life for the community members of Squamish. The foundation was created in 2003 to meet the needs of our growing community through the establishment of a locally-based long term institution. We manage funds given to us by donors in our community and distribute the income from those endowed funds to local registered charities for community projects. Squamish Community Foundation belongs to the Community Foundations of Canada, a group of 165 community foundations across Canada. The Squamish Community Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors which is made up of community leaders who are Squamish residents and whose carried backgrounds are intended to be representative of Squamish’s diversity.

FORT EDMONTON FOUNDATION

Fort Edmonton Foundation is the charitable organization charged with completing Fort Edmonton Park in Edmonton, Alberta. Since 1969 the Foundation has raised approximately $20 million in cash and in-kind contributions toward the establishment of over 80 structures within the Park. A volunteer Board of Directors runs the Foundation. The Foundation has two (2) paid employees, and works closely with Fort Edmonton Park to both complete the Park and implement operational practices (i.e. interpretation).

The Fort York Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation with a mandate to receive and manage funds to preserve and enhance Fort York National Historic Site in perpetuity. (Charitable #83248 2566 RR0001). The Foundation recognizes the symbolic and historic significance of this authentic War of 1812 site to the story of Canada. The Foundation is independent of the City of Toronto, which owns and operates Fort York.

Hamilton Conservation Foundation

The Hamilton Conservation Foundation was founded as a registered charity in 1976. The charitable number is 859975617 RR0001. The Foundation exists to raise support and funding for the Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA)and has done so for more than 36 years. The HCA is legislated under the Ontario Conservations Authorities’ Act, 1946 and charged with the duty of managing renewable natural resources on a watershed basis. The Foundation raises capital and endowment funds, and will accept gifts of cash, securities, land and relevant in-kind donations. The Foundation gratefully accepts bequests and other Legacy gifts.
