Mission. To protect and preserve the Hitchcock Woods in a natural and ecologically healthy state, maintain and manage historic and traditional equestrian and pedestrian uses, and foster education and research on the history and resources of the Woods. Vision. To maintain and restore the ecological integrity of the Hitchcock Woods and to serve as a model for sustainable urban forestry, balancing stewardship of forestland natural resources with compatible human uses.

The mission of the Boxerwood Education Association is to educate and inspire people of all ages to be environmentally responsible stewards of the Earth. We manage a small Nature Center and Woodland Garden in Rockbridge County, Virginia, and deliver award-winning environmental education programs to our community.

We are an 80-acre botanical garden, featuring more than 20 specialty gardens showcasing the diverse botanical beauty that can be found in the Willamette Valley and throughout the Pacific Northwest. Our mission is to welcome and inspire all visitors with an appreciation for the extraordinary ecology of the Pacific Northwest and to provide a meaningful educational experience for gardeners of all skill levels and ages.

To grow thriving communities through stewardship of our urban forest

-Provide meaningful experiences for students using resources and learning opportunities that are not available in the regular classroom or during the regular school day. -Provide opportunities for students and community members to connect with the natural enviroment through education programs, research projects and other relevant initiatives. -Seek to be be an effective model of environmental responsibility by providing a physical setting that reflects energy and waste efficiency in order to create an exemplary environmental footprint. -Build public and financial support in order to sustain the mission of the Outdoor Education Centre, RR# 3, Wiarton, Ontario. -Provide opportunities for program participants that are of the highest quality in cooperation with the Bluewater District School Board. -Further information can be found on our website.
