The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is a 130-hectare site (325 acre) located on the un-dyked floodplain of the Vedder River in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. Managed by the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Society, the site is known for a large breeding colony of Great Blue Herons. Each year hundreds of Great Blue Heron arrive to nest in the Cottonwood trees. In 2012 there were over 160 active nests. The Great Blue Heron is an at risk species in BC. The site also protects a wide variety of wildlife, vegetation as well as species at risk such as the Painted Turtle, the Salish Sucker, and Red Legged Frog.

With its roots in the Red River Settlement of the 1820 St John's College has played an important role in Western Canada's educational history. In 1877 it was one of the founding Colleges of the University of Manitoba. Today it is proud to be a member of this internationally-renowned institution while maintaining its own unique and vibrant identity. The key strength of the College has always been its people and the community they create. For over 140 years we have attracted and educated liberal arts and theology students who have gone on to be leaders in their fields. They leave St John's with a first class education and a true sense of what it means to be a part of a supportive community of scholars and researchers.

Roots to Harvest is a not for profit and charitable organization based in Thunder Bay, Ontario. We are about food, about young people, about community, and about doing things in good ways. The first time a person learns where food comes from; the life changing experience of serving those in need; the heat of a greenhouse; the dirt under your fingernails; the feel of a handful of red wiggler compost worms; the first seedlings… This is Roots to Harvest. It's about learning, growing, inquiry & getting dirty. Young people connect with mentors & experts in the community to explore the food system from many different sides – production, distribution, access, culture, and sustainability.

The BCLSS is a registered non-profit society dedicated to the preservation and protection of British Columbia’s lakes. The BCLSS is a chapter of the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS), and our membership includes lakeshore residents, students, and environmental professionals. BCLSS assists in training, education, and technical support to lake stewardship groups interested in protecting lakes in their community. BCLSS provides them with lake monitoring programs, educational materials, and workshops with other stewardship groups in the province.

The Canadian Education Association (CEA) is a cross-Canada network of influencers in the education, research and policy, not-for-profit and business sectors conducting research, generating constructive ideas, and sharing them with educators, students, and other stakeholders. CEA is committed to: -advancing ideas that lead to greater student and teacher engagement; -teaching that inspires all students to learn; -schools that ensure both equity and excellence to meet the developmental needs of all learners in our global and changing society. CEA is seeding ideas, illuminating research, and influencing practice – for the success of every learner.

CISV Victoria has been positively impacting the lives of youth for nearly 50 years. Our peace education and leadership building programs are offered to youth ages 11-25 years old. Our monthly meetings, weekend camps and 4-week international summer camps are designed to provide environments where inclusion, cooperation, open-mindedness, and cross-cultural friendships are fostered. Founded as a not-for-profit, non-government organization in 1957, we have a well-established reputation as a leader in safety education. We continually check our environment to identify gaps in safety promotion and seek to meet the need, either through individual effort or with the many health and safety-related organizations throughout Ottawa and Eastern Ontario that we cooperate with. Shekinah Retreat Centre is a conference/retreat centre and summer camp owned and operated by Mennonite Church Saskatchewan. There are facilities to rent which include the Timber Lodge, Chalet, 2 cabins and grounds use. Outdoor activities may include: hiking, canoeing, bird watching, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, zip-lining and wall climbing. Events at Shekinah may include: weddings, family gatherings, business meetings, church retreats, summer camp, school camps, personal getaways, etc...

The organization is committed to building recreational and commuter routes on which both locals and visitors can participate in the healthy activities of hiking, biking, snow shoeing or cross country skiing for fun or to get to work, school or shopping. With almost 200 km of routes winding their way throughout the City, there's something for everyone. Whether you're a cyclist trying to get from A to B as quickly as possible, a bird watcher looking for that elusive avian specimen, or simply looking for a quiet place to relax, there's a trail for you. We connect people to places.

We are proud to be an IB World School that focuses solely on the middle years program (MYP). The internationally recognized IB-MYP standard for teaching excellence brings our small Bowen Island School into a global educational community of more than a half-million people. This complements a well-established academic program that exceeds B.C. Ministry curriculum requirements. Hiking, cross country skiing, and ocean kayaking expeditions extend classroom learning beyond the walls of the school. Monthly cultural excursions to museums, theaters, and galleries are planned throughout the school year to do the same.

Our Vision Youth: To provide empowering volunteer opportunities to youth through experiential learning while engaging in participatory community development initiatives and cultivating positive, cross-cultural relationships. In turn, we provide youth with first hand education in social justice and exemplary leadership skills. Communities: To cultivate relationships with communities and work in solidarity to create and sustain long-term transformational projects.
