One Common Unity (OCU) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that breaks cycles of violence and builds compassionate, healthy communities through the transformative power of music, arts, and peace education. Youth in Washington, D.C. are four times more likely to die by homicide than by the next closest cause. Students (ages 11-18) in our programs grapple with community violence, crime, poverty, drugs and high rates of incarceration, all of which reinforce cyclical trauma. Structural violence and racism, enforced through housing policies, access to educational opportunities, and an unequal distribution of resources, adds further hurdles to the lives of youth and their families. Building upon their incredible resilience, One Common Unity provides safe, supportive spaces where youth discover their authentic selves, connect with nature, and are equipped with the skills, tools, and support to disrupt cycles of violence and poverty.

Computers For Schools Burundi 's organization has ambitions and multiple programs dedicated to the children/youth and the population in general in Burundi, in areas such as environment, education, agriculture, Leadership and entrepreneurship development and many more. With respect to education, our objective is to help develop education systems which are producers of the labor force and the intellectuals, by providing access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), which will facilitate: The use of digitized documents (powerful tools for the processing Of information: text, sound, image). Global access to information resources The provision of new tools for access to knowledge for students Communication and collaboration. Computer skills have become the basic knowledge required, needed to be efficient and cost-effective in the 21 Century where advanced technology has become an integral part of our daily lives. The first priority is access to technology (ICT): CFSB first priority is to be able to offer computers for schools and help teach students how to use it. The main component of the ICT concept is the computer, preferably with Internet access. With this, comes the need to provide computers, a computer program of first class for students and training for the teachers. The second priority is the access to information: The second priority for CFSB in the educational system is to connect the Digital Centers to the internet and finally to interconnect the schools of Burundi (education, research and communication) enabling them to participate fully in the global economy. For the above reasons, CFSB, a non-profit organization, is looking for partners with whom he can work to achieve these ambitious goals and bring hope to millions of young people, hungry to learn and contribute positively to build a better world, far from violence, crime and wars. Vision. The Vision of CFSB is working in partnership with others organizations and other programs to help reduce poverty in Burundi and in so doing, contribute to building a world better. Mission. The Mission of Computers For Schools Burundi is capacity building. The objective of the mission is to promote computer skills through the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for youth and communities in Burundi, to succeed in the modern economy of the 21st century by reducing poverty in their country. By helping to provide access to the Internet for educational institutions, CFSB is working to make ICT accessible to students on campuses and schools in Burundi. CFSB wants to help schools and universities to become familiar with computers and the internet to build a better future and thus make the internet accessible to the majority of young people of the developing countries to create a productive workforce.

To create a rich and diversified recreational atmosphere in beautiful surroundings, which subtly promote an appreciation of nature and of the environment. To conduct research that involves the preservation, breeding, and return to the wild of various species; to participate in national and international research activities and projects in these fields; and to conduct both theoretical and practical research work in the fields of zoology, biology, and environmental science. To encourage community participation, and conduct the types of educational and cultural activities that are geared towards Jerusalem's unique and diverse population, and are accessible to all communities. To develop distinct programs and create opportunities for groups with special needs, so that they can be involved in animal care, grounds-keeping, and other useful activities throughout the zoo grounds. To make the zoo a unique and attractive tourist site, whose uniqueness derives partly from its collection of Biblical animals.

Karuna-Shechen's name expresses its mission while paying homage to its roots: Karuna means "compassion" in Sanskrit, and Shechen is the name of a major monastery in Tibet.

The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation connects Americans with their wilderness heritage by providing access to and stewardship of one of the world's most spectacular places -Montana's Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, the crown jewel of the Wilderness System. We help hundreds of hard-working volunteers, including youth, develop a land ethic and give back to the wilderness by opening trails, restoring heavily used areas, maintaining historic structures and fighting weeds. Active wilderness stewardship is our mission. Heartspeakers from all walks of life contribute and share stories that inspire (spanning ability, race, culture, socio-economic status, faith, age) and lessons learned. Heartspeak integrates topics confronting youth today—relationships, mental health, school life, transitions, mental health, addictions, safety, equity/inclusion, social justice (rights of children and youth), finding purpose, and navigating career paths. Heartspeak themes address Aboriginal issues, disabilities, homelessness, gender/sexual minorities (LGBTQI), racism, bullying/violence. Heartspeak learning resources/services bring greater understanding of the issues confronting youth today and provides a vehicle for educators/school staff (teachers, principals, superintendents); children & youth (grades 4-12/post-secondary);parents/families/siblings; community youth organizations’ to spark dialogue and share solutions.

The Children's Book Bank provides free books and literacy support to low- income children in the greater Toronto area from its storefront location in Regent Park. The Children’s Book Bank is like a magical children’s bookstore, except that books are given free of charge to children and their families. We believe that book ownership is essential to early literacy and a life-long love of reading. Unfortunately, studies show that many low-income families cannot afford to purchase books. At the same time, many families and organizations have quality children’s books that they no longer need. Our organization connects demand and supply to ensure that all children can experience the joy, dignity and enrichment associated with book ownership. CompassioNet Impact Development Canada collaborates with partners in Puerto Vallarta, to mitigate poverty and its effects in the communities in and around the city of Puerto Vallarta. Winter 2014: 2 homes built and purchased materials for 2 more, plus paid for land for a family to build, ESL classes and tutoring, and micro-enterprise loans given. In 2013 4 homes built, ESL classes and tutoring, library continues to grow. In 2012, built one home, grew the library and gave ESL classes. In 2011, financially supported two families to build their own homes. In 2010 CIDC paid to connect sewer services for 15 homes on Madre Selva. Ongoing activities include: - Home construction for the poor; - Supporting education and training opportunities; - Books and materials for small neighbourhood libraries; - Interest-free micro-enterprise loans for small business start-ups; - Interest-free loans to buy materials to improve, purchase or build homes for families.

International Student Energy Summit (ISES): In 3 events, ISES has rapidly established itself as the pre-eminent student-driven energy conference globally. ISES is an elite forum where top students from around the world learn, discuss and connect. The Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation (MCHF) is a nonproft 501(c)3 organization founded in 1997 to advance conservation and appreciation of Missouri's natural resources, including fish, forest, and wildlife. Our work centers around ensuring our conservation heritage and protecting our most precious natural resources. We are the support foundation for the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and serve as a key facilitator for a broad variety of conservation initiatives. To support the mission and priorities of MDC at the state, national and international level, we help connect the dots between MDC and other entities by building partnerships, fundraising and providing administrative services to advance effective conservation efforts.
