Inter Pares is a Canadian organization dedicated to promoting international social justice. In Canada and overseas it works to build understanding about the causes and effects of poverty and injustice, and the need for social change. Inter Pares accompanies communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Canada to create sustainable livelihoods and healthy futures, including humanitarian assistance and human rights protection for people caught up in civil violence. It supports people’s struggles for self-determination and their efforts to challenge structural obstacles to change, accompanying people in their efforts to hold their governments accountable and to promote democratic social and economic policies. Through advocacy and coalition-building, Inter Pares also links social action at home with social change work abroad, promoting relationships of mutual support among activists around the globe. GLENBOW RANCH PARK FOUNDATION

The Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation: 1. Develops programming for & manages Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park volunteers. 2. Manages all Visitor Services, Park programs and Outreach programs. 3. Raises money to support the development and ongoing operation of the Park. 4. Is home to the Foothills Fescue Research Institute - this research group focuses on native fescues of Western North America. From seed development to reclamation and public programming, FFRI's goal is to increase the scientific understanding and preservation of native fescue grasses. 5. Is home to Discover Archaeology - an elementary school outreach program that offers students hands-on immersion in Alberta archaeology and history. 6. Carries out research into local history. From tipi rings to town sites; bison kills to quarries; and nomadic hunter to the CPR, settlers, and generations of ranching, the Glenbow Ranch showcases for Alberta’s past.

THE PRESERVATION OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS SOCIETY

Established in 1976, PALS is the longest standing farmland preservation group in Canada.Through research, education and participation in national, provincial and local meetings, its members have raised the level of understanding Canada-wide about the very special nature of the 15,000 acres of tender fruitland and equal amount of grape lands, in Niagara, where the combination of soils and climate ( as provided by the interaction of the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario ( and the Fonthill Kame in south Niagara) allows for the growing of the best tender fruit in North America These minuscule lands, when compared with the hundreds of thousands of acres of class 1-3 farmlands in Ontario and 2-3 million acres of class 1-3 farmland in Canada, are under constant threat of urban uses. consequently, Niagara fruit lands are a National, Provincial and Local resource that PALS is determined to protect for future generations .

Vancouver Chamber Choir

The Vancouver Chamber Choir is one of Canada’s national treasures, an outstanding professional vocal ensemble noted for its diverse repertoire and performing excellence. The Choir has been performing to audiences at home in Vancouver and on tour across Canada since it was formed in 1971 by conductor Jon Washburn. International excursions have taken the Vancouver Chamber Choir to the USA, Mexico, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Finland, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine. Honoured with the Margaret Hillis Award for Choral Excellence by Chorus America, the Vancouver Chamber Choir has to its credit countless performances, 30 recordings, hundreds of radio broadcasts and numerous awards. Recognized by the Canadian League of Composers as foremost supporters of Canadian music, Jon Washburn and the Choir have commissioned and premiered nearly 250 Canadian choral compositions.

ONTARIO 4-H FOUNDATION

4-H is an organization of leaders building leaders. Approximately 6000 youth 6-21 years of age, and a grass roots network of 1800 trained, screened volunteers pledge their Head, Heart, Hands and Health as members of community-based clubs. The Cloverbud Program includes youth 6-8 years old. With projects encompassing agriculture, food, health and the environment, 4-H Ontario's "Learn To Do By Doing" clubs, camps and conferences have a successful 98 year history in developing competence, confidence, connection, character and caring within rural and urban youth.
