The Alzheimer Society Sarnia-Lambton offers education, caregiver respite, support services & resource materials to people with Alzheimer's disease or releated dementias, family members, caregivers and service providers. Currently, there are over 2,500 people in Lambton County with dementia. This number is expected to triple in the next 25 years.

Founded in 1974, RCBC is Canada’s longest-serving recycling council and has earned the reputation of being one of the most widely respected environmental organizations in the province today. RCBC played a major role in the establishment of B.C.’s many ground-breaking product stewardship programs, which are emulated around the world.

The Registered Nurses Foundation (RNF) is a registered, charitable organization (since 1979) committed to the advancement of nursing practice and nursing education. The RNF raises money for bursaries for students enrolled in basic, post-basic, refresher, specialty and graduate education programs in nursing, or involved in nursing research in their education (i.e. Master's or PHD Program). Bursary winners are selected by the Board of Directors each year in October. All board members are volunteers who donate their time and expertise to the Foundation. A portion of the money raised each year is used for administration costs including secretarial support, mail-outs and postage, processing bursary applications and website hosting. RNF meeting space is provided for no charge by the CRNBC. Each year the demand for bursaries increases. Your tax deductible donation will help students and RNs continue their nursing education. Founded in 1868, The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada is Canada's leading astronomy organization bringing together over 4,200 enthusiastic amateurs, educators and professionals. In addition to many national services, our 29 Centres offer local programs and services in every province of Canada. As part of our mission we support astronomy in Canada in many ways including: Our bi-monthly publication, the Journal, features lively and interesting articles about astronomy in Canada and astronomical research by our own members and professional astronomers. Many RASC Centres support local programs of public education and outreach - promoting science literacy and astronomy while bringing the wonders of the night sky to youth groups, the general public and each other.

In 1969, a small but dedicated group of British Columbians launched a campaign to protect the magnificent forests and lakes of the Nitinat Triangle and West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island. There were no Canadian environmental groups working on forest and wilderness issues at that time, so they joined forces with the US Sierra Club. That energetic group became the first Sierra Club affiliate in Canada, later joining the national Sierra Club of Canada when it was formed. 40 years on, Sierra Club local groups around B.C. defend old-growth forests and ecosystems, help combat global warming and safeguard our clean air and water. Sierra Club BC staff meet regularly with government and business to ensure conservation viewpoints are heard, and to provide input on policy and budget decisions that affect the environment. Our grassroots base, science-based policies and pragmatism have helped to protect millions of hectares of B.C. wilderness.

Since 1979, the Chilliwack Academy of Music has provided high quality music instruction and programming in all styles, for students of all ages and abilities living in Chilliwack and the surrounding communities. Expert instruction is offered on a variety of instruments as well as through group classes and performing ensembles led by highly trained and experienced faculty. Operating as a not-for-profit charitable society, the Academy directly serves 500 students a year from newborns to seniors and is a proud member of the B.C. Association of Community Music Schools. In September 2010, the Chilliwack Academy of Music relocated to the $22-million city-owned Chilliwack Cultural Centre. The Academy now programs 21 music instruction rooms including 18 private lesson studios, and 3 classrooms. The Academy’s involvement as a Core Partner in the new Cultural Centre allows it to meet the growing demands of the community for high quality music instruction and programming.

The Friends of Algonquin Park was established in 1983 as a non profit registered charity. The Friends operate as a cooperating association under an agreement with the Ontario Parks to enhance the educational and interpretive programs in Algonquin Park. This is accomplished by developing and reprinting Park-related publications, and funding Park projects through the proceeds from sales at The Friends' two bookstores in the Park, private donations, and various fundraising efforts. The activities of The Friends of Algonquin are coordinated by a volunteer Board of Directors who reside in different parts of Ontario. Since its establishment, The Friends has grown to a membership of over 3000 people, and continues to attract support from around the world.

Since its establishment in 1969, the Urban League of London acts as an umbrella organization for community groups in London. It is composed of representatives from neighbourhood associations and city-wide organizations. ReForest London provides matching funds, organizational support, and expertise to community groups to plant trees throughout the city of London. To date, ReForest London has planted more than 5,000 native trees and shrubs.

Since 1988, the Festival has been part of the cultural and social ecology of the province. We are the only international and multi-disciplinary performing arts festival dedicated to the children in Saskatchewan, and we believe that creative, diverse and culturally aware communities don't happen by accident. A tolerant and vibrant society ready to face the challenges of the future results from planting seeds of inspiration, nurturing through participating and fun, and creating space for ideas to take root and reach for the sun. Imagination grows strong when we feed it the right stuff --- the confidence to try something new, the perspective to see something in a fresh way, the compassion to connect with those in a different situation.

1 To encourage and support the goals and objectives of Presqu’ile Provincial Park and its mandate by: a. providing social, economic and physical support for the Park’s activities by raising funds to supplement and compliment Park programs; b. promoting and organizing special events compatible with the Park’s approved objectives and interpretive themes; undertaking projects and initiatives. 2 To develop programs which will further awareness, understanding and appreciation of the Park’s natural, historic and cultural resources. With a priority given to children 3 To operate sales outlet(s), develop high quality Park-specific, theme-related items and materials for distribution and/or sale to help fund programs. 4 To further the objectives of the Corporation by accepting donations, bequests and other gifts. 5 To fund 6-8 students per year to deliver educational programmes 6 To encourage a broadly based membership meeting the objectives of the corporation

The Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO) is a registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth and adults with learning disabilities. LDAO offers many resources, services, information, venues and products designed to help people with LDs and ADHD, as well as parents, teachers, and other professionals. LDAO assists people with learning disabilities and their families in meeting their expressed needs by: • providing support, guidance and up-to-date resource information • providing the opportunity for the sharing of information and common concerns • encouraging research in the field of learning disabilities • supporting and generating legislative initiatives.

In 1989 a group of area residents who shared both a passion and deep interest in Pinery Park formed the Friends of Pinery Park. Aware of the increasing pressure on the rare ecosystems within the park’s boundaries from recreational activities, they recognized the need to foster and develop an appreciation and understanding of the park’s fragile and unique environment to its ever increasing number of users.
