The German Red Cross co-operates with other national Red Cross/ Red Crescent societies, the International Federation of Red Cross/ Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross in numerous missions concerning: - Emergency Response (including quick assignment of pre-trained personnel and pre-packaged material, provision of relief materials, donations and contributions in cash and in kind to partner organizations) - Rehabilitation after disasters (Reconstruction of houses, medical facilities, and livelihood after disasters) - Development projects with focus on Disaster Risk Reduction / Climate Change Adaptation, Water and Sanitation, Basic Health Care, Livelihood and Capacity Building within Partner Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies and communities.

Since its founding in 1875, American Forests has pledged to be the pathfinders for creating healthy forests from coast to coast. The nonprofit organization seeks to create healthy and resilient forests, from cities to large natural landscapes, that deliver essential benefits for climate, people, water and wildlife. The organization advances its mission through forestry innovation, place-based partnerships to plant and restore forests, and movement building.

The Red Wolf Coalition advocates for the long-term survival of red wolf populations by teaching about red wolves and by fostering public involvement in red wolf conservation.

Red Panda Network (RPN) is the world’s first nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting red pandas. We work with local communities in Nepal to serve as active partners in the conservation of wild red pandas and their habitat.

Programs and Services offered by the Red Deer Chapter include: 1. Information and Referral Service to assist those seeking guidance, information, or referrals regarding learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, and more. 2. Awareness and Advocacy through presentations to interested schools and organizations. 3. Parent/Professional Workshops and Presentations through our Speakers Series. 4. Lending Resource Library open to general public. Members have sign out priviledges. 5. Irlen Screening for perceptual dyslexia. 6. Social Competence Programs - summer day camps, after school programs for ages 7-9, 10-12 and teen programs (NEW). 7. Reading, Writing and Math Programs - one-on-one tutoring developed specifically for the LD student. 8. Tutoring Services including test preparation and study skills. 9. Conferences - 2010 LDAA Provincial Conference in Calgary Oct 6-8, 2010 and 2011 Conference in Red Deer Oct 12-14, 2011 on Adaptive and Assistive Technology.

little red theatre produces dramatic performances of great quality theatre using a wonderful eclectic mix of puppets, songs and original musical scores, dance and audio and visual technology. Productions are aimed at the Junior Kindergarten through Grade 6 constituency and are presented at schools, libraries and special venues (70,000+ children in about 225 schools each year. Workshops take place in the community.
