WWF's mission is the conservation of nature. Using the best available scientific knowledge and advancing that knowledge where we can, we work to preserve the diversity and abundance of life on Earth and the health of ecological systems by protecting natural areas and wild populations of plants and animals, including endangered species; promoting sustainable approaches to the use of renewable natural resources; and promoting more efficient use of resources and energy and the maximum reduction of pollution. We are committed to reversing the degradation of our planet's natural environment and to building a future in which human needs are met in harmony with nature. We recognize the critical relevance of human numbers, poverty and consumption patterns to meeting these goals.

World Federalists advocate a political order that better represents our common humanity. World federalism is a long-term goal, but one that is coming about gradually and in stages. Important steps can be taken today to promote cooperation and strengthen the rule of law in international affairs.

We do three things. We organize book drives in Ontario schools so students can make a meaningful change and link to their peers in the developing world. We run the annual "Rainforest of Reading" Book Festival every November in the OECS, and we develop professional development for and with educators to support and sustain the impact of book donations and the festival.

Science World is unique in providing children and families with access to cutting edge, curriculum-linked galleries, films and hands-on educational programs at TELUS World of Science in Vancouver. Our facility also houses the OMNIMAX® Theatre, which features one of the largest dome screens in the world. Science World endeavours to touch the lives of more British Columbian families and students each year, and has connected with nearly eight million visitors since opening in 1989.

World Concern provides life, opportunity and hope to suffering people around the world through disaster response and development programs. Motivated by our love of Christ, we bring hope and reconciliation to those we serve, so they may in turn share with others.

Beautiful World Canada has established partnerships with organizations that are outstanding in their endeavours and achievements; vetted and accredited by ourselves and other reputable national and international agencies. Our partners have mastered the art of rising above challenges to create African solutions for African problems. They are community based organizations who assess each child for need and potential and provide them with support. Many organizations support primary school, but after that, most African children see their dreams wither and die. Culturally, education for boys is prioritized. Young girls will be responsible for the household chores; many are forced into working as servants, early marriage or prostitution. We focus on higher education with a priority of education for girls. We know that transformative change takes time. Therefore, Beautiful World’s commitment for each child averages six years of support through high school and university or trade school.

The Long Point area, comprising 26,250 hectares, was designated as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in April, 1986, the third to be named in Canada and one of 15 biosphere reserves found in this country today. It provides an example of the Great Lakes coastal ecosystem and a unique blend of habitats. Its delicate dunes and marshes teem with songbirds, spawning fish, turtles and frogs. The Long Point World Biosphere Reserve Foundation promotes research, monitoring, community outreach and education, partnerships, and projects that support the goals of biodiversity, conservation and sustainable communities in the Long Point World Biosphere Reserve. We exchange information and work collaboratively with the Canadian Biosphere Reserves Association and other biosphere reserves in Canada and internationally. Our UNESCO/MAB Biosphere Reserve designation does not bring with it any new authorities over lands, water or resources.

"Since 1974, the Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society™ has provided firsthand experiences in underwater-related disciplines to young people considering careers in the underwater world. Each year a scholar is selected from North America, Europe, and Australasia to work with leaders in marine-related fields partaking in endeavors ranging from scientific expeditions, underwater research, field study, laboratory assignments, equipment testing and design, photographic instruction, and/or other specialized assignments. Scholars spend a year traveling extensively to gain exposure and get hands-on experiences in activities that will contribute to a well-rounded education. Each year, the incoming interns and scholars are provided with membership in the Explorers Club."

We educate and inform people about the world's forests and trees, and their importance to all life, in order to promote a balanced and sustainable future.

World Fisheries Trust acts locally and globally, using a multidisciplinary approach to match solutions to problems; not problems to solutions. The organization is not an activist group, but rather works as an honest broker with all points of view and creditable scientific evidence. We do scientific and social research, contribute to policy development and work on field implementation of solutions. Our particular expertise includes bridging the divide between technical solutions and societal realities, including tools for enhancing community engagement, public awareness, and societal equity. The combination of local and international projects provides unique insights for this work, as well as providing a conduit between Canadian and international partners.
