Abalimi is a Volunteer Association working to empower the disadvantaged through its organic Urban Agriculture program & projects. Since 1997, the Kasiisi Project has aided education in and around Kibale National Park in rural western Uganda, East Africa. Founded initially as a link between the research-based Kibale Chimpanzee Project and the local community, the Kasiisi Project now works with several research groups in and around the park to target critical issues for the survival of the forest and support of the local population. We support early childhood education, promote conservation and health education, provide daily school lunches, train teachers, encourage literacy through libraries and computer usage, fund secondary school and college scholarships, and address the special needs of girls.

The Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) is the nation’s most innovative and influential organization promoting the building and revitalization of great urban places. We are a multi-disciplinary organization comprised of architects, urban planners, developers, investors, engineers, academics, elected and career governmental officials, and citizen advocates. We work within and outside of our professions to further the organization’s mission. CNU Florida, a charitable 501(c)(3) corporation, is CNU’s oldest chapter. We operate through a statewide board of directors and other dedicated volunteers. Due to the size of our State, we organized regional groups including in Orlando, Tampa Bay, the Palm Beaches, Tallahassee, and Miami. We aim to make Florida more beautiful, economically vibrant, environmentally sustainable, and healthier for all its citizens and visitors.
The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust leads and inspires action to conserve and enhance the Mountains to Sound Greenway National Heritage Area. This iconic 1.5 million-acre landscape stretches from Seattle to Ellensburg along the I-90 corridor, connecting Central Washington, the Cascade Mountains, and Puget Sound. The Greenway Trust is a coalition-based organization that works to steward these lands, all while promoting access to the outdoors and striking a long-term balance between the needs of the natural world and the people who call this region home.
