THE ST. SIMONS LAND TRUST WAS FOUNDED IN 2000 TO CONSERVE UNDEVELOPED LAND AND ICONIC PROPERTIES THAT HAVE ENVIRONMENTAL, RECREATIONAL, SCENIC, HISTORIC, OR EDUCATIONAL VALUE AND THAT ENSURE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PRESENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS. IT FULFILLS THIS MISSION THROUGH: 1) LAND PROTECTION, 2) LAND MANAGEMENT, AND 3) EDUCATION AND OUTREACH.

The East Quabbin Land Trust (EQLT) works to conserve and steward the farmlands, woodlands and waterways of the East Quabbin region so people and wildlife can benefit from working landscapes, healthy habitats, and public access. They focus on protecting land permanently, caring for preserves, and connecting the community to the natural and historic resources in their service area.

THE KENNEBEC LAND TRUST (KLT)WORKS COOPERATIVELY WITH LANDOWNERS AND COMMUNITIES TO CONSERVE THE FORESTS, LAKES, STREAMS, WETLANDS, FIELDS, AND WILDLIFE THAT HELP DEFINE CENTRAL MAINE. KLT PROTECTS AND STEWARDS LAND PERMANENTLY, OFFERS ACCESS TO CONSERVED PROPERTIES, PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE TO LEARN ABOUT AND ENJOY THE NATURAL WORLD, AND WORKS WITH PARTNERS TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY AND FARMING. KENNEBEC LAND TRUST HAS PROVIDED OVER THIRTY-SIX YEARS OF CONSERVATION WORK IN THE KENNEBEC RIVER AND LAKES REGION. THANKS TO THE GENEROUS CONTRIBUTIONS AND SUPPORT OF MORE THAN 1,100 HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS AND BUSINESS PARTNERS, DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS, BOARD MEMBERS, AND STAFF, WE HAVE EXPERIENCED OVER THREE DECADES OF SIGNIFICANT GROWTH AND HAVE DEVELOPED A REPUTATION AS A CONSERVATION LEADER IN OUR 413,000-ACRE SERVICE REGION. WE HAVE RECEIVED STATE-WIDE AND REGIONAL RECOGNITION AND AWARDS FOR OUR DEDICATION TO CONSERVE LAND FOR ITS MANY COMMUNITY BENEFITS, INCLUDING PUBLIC USE AND

Their mission is to conserve natural habitats, waterways and agricultural lands in Southwestern Ohio, for the benefit of present and future generations, through partnerships with people and communities.

Their goals are to conserve land, protect resources and habitat, provide recreational opportunities, promote health, and educate about the intersection of art and nature and how to be good stewards of both.

To conserve and share the Mahoosuc region’s important natural lands with our communities now and for the future.

ALT works to conserve and steward critical land in perpetuity for Androscoggin River watershed protection, wildlife habitat, natural resources, and outdoor recreational opportunities. We currently conserve over 5,000 acres of land from Jay to Durham, including over ten miles of riverfront along the Androscoggin River in both rural and urban areas.

To promote the protection, preservation, and conservation of the land and water of the Chiputneticook Lakes region of eastern Maine and western New Brunswick for the benefit of present and future generations.

MFT is the only statewide organization dedicated to protecting farmland and is a national leader in farmland protection and farmland access work. Since its founding, MFT has expanded its program areas to not only protect Maine farmland, but increase farm viability by helping farmers thrive, and raising public awareness about the important role farms play in our communities.
