The Foundation for the Preservation of the Santa Susana Mountains (the Foundation) was formed in May 1974 as a charitable organization qualified under IRS §501(c)(3) to support the acquisition of land identified as ideal property for a state park in the Santa Susana Mountains and Simi Hills. The Foundation was successful in acquiring land, and ultimately facilitated the purchase of 670 acres for what is now the Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park.

To preserve the natural beauty and wildness of the Wissahickon Valley and stimulate public interest therein.

To raise funds for grassroots conservation projects and generate awareness of the important environmental, economic, cultural, and social roles of African forests

THE KENNEBEC LAND TRUST (KLT)WORKS COOPERATIVELY WITH LANDOWNERS AND COMMUNITIES TO CONSERVE THE FORESTS, LAKES, STREAMS, WETLANDS, FIELDS, AND WILDLIFE THAT HELP DEFINE CENTRAL MAINE. KLT PROTECTS AND STEWARDS LAND PERMANENTLY, OFFERS ACCESS TO CONSERVED PROPERTIES, PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE TO LEARN ABOUT AND ENJOY THE NATURAL WORLD, AND WORKS WITH PARTNERS TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY AND FARMING. KENNEBEC LAND TRUST HAS PROVIDED OVER THIRTY-SIX YEARS OF CONSERVATION WORK IN THE KENNEBEC RIVER AND LAKES REGION. THANKS TO THE GENEROUS CONTRIBUTIONS AND SUPPORT OF MORE THAN 1,100 HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS AND BUSINESS PARTNERS, DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS, BOARD MEMBERS, AND STAFF, WE HAVE EXPERIENCED OVER THREE DECADES OF SIGNIFICANT GROWTH AND HAVE DEVELOPED A REPUTATION AS A CONSERVATION LEADER IN OUR 413,000-ACRE SERVICE REGION.
