Big Sur Land Trust is a non-profit organization with a mission to inspire love of land across generations, conservation of our unique Monterey County landscapes, and access to outdoor experiences for all. We see a future where natural landscapes, working lands, urban open spaces and healthy communities are cared for by people who share a love of nature and a deep appreciation for the richness of their diverse cultures. Since 1978, our generous donors and partners have conserved over 40,000 acres throughout Monterey County. As an accredited land trust, our work promotes: 1. HEALTHY LANDS: Conserving and caring for the magnificent natural landscapes, habitats and waterways of our region to ensure a sustainable future. 2. HEALTHY PEOPLE: Providing opportunities for all who live in and visit Monterey County to experience the healthful benefits associated with access to parks and open spaces, fresh food, clean air and water, and a deep connection to nature. 3. HEALTHY COMMUNITIES: Engaging in partnerships where conservation and civic participation increase community vitality, economic prosperity and social equity. Big Sur Land Trust is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) governed by a board of trustees, operated by a professional staff and supported by hundreds of members and volunteers. Our work is funded by generous private donations and public conservation funding. We are proud to be accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance. The accreditation seal is awarded to land trusts meeting the highest national standards for excellence and conservation permanence.

Tackling the water crisis by funding, supporting and advocating for community WASH (water, sanitation & hygiene) programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. Their mission is to increase awareness of WASH challenges and solutions, and most importantly convert that heightened awareness into ACTION.

Agua Pura Para El Pueblo is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization founded to help communities and families obtain safe, clean drinking water and improve their sanitation. Over one billion people world wide lack access to safe water, and a million children die each year due to preventable diarrheal diseases. With a focus on Latin America and the Caribbean, we promote simple small scale methods and techniques that people can use to make their water safe to drink. We also give seminars and demonstrations both in the United States and in Latin America to other nongovernmental organizations and to community groups on methods of water purification.

The Namakagon Lake Association, Inc. was formed in 1995 for the purpose of preserving and protecting Lake Namakagon and its environs. The Namakagon Lake Association, Inc. (NLA) is a not for profit organization that relies on the contributions and membership fees of land owners and other concerned citizens for its funding.

The association works to protect and maintain Lake Nuangola’s water quality and shoreline environment while supporting community amenities and events. It funds and coordinates lake management (monitoring and weed control), preserves the pavilion and public resources, and promotes the general betterment of the lakeside community.

AQUACULTURE RESEARCH - The purpose of the Oceanic Institute is for the advancement and extension of research in all of the fields and areas of marine sciences generally and to engage in, assist and contribute to the support of scientific, educational, and charitable activities and projects, and to contribute to the support of, and to create and maintain scientific, educational and charitable institutions, organizations and funds of any and every kind.

We champion the Shoal Creek watershed to create a healthy and vibrant community. We work together to provide a voice for Shoal Creek and our community through a process of mobilizing volunteers. We team with the City and leverage partnerships, we raise funds and host events, and we also work hard and have fun.

We are the Southern Environmental Law Center — the largest nonprofit, nonpartisan environmental legal advocacy organization rooted in and focused on the South.Our mission is to protect the basic right to clean air, clean water, and a livable climate; to preserve our region’s natural treasures and rich biodiversity; and to provide a healthy environment for all. Rooted in the South with over 200 attorneys and professional staff, we use strong legal and policy work, strategic vision, and pragmatic problem solving in all three branches and at all levels of government. Captains for Clean Water is a grassroots nonprofit organization advocating for the elimination of harmful, large-scale Lake Okeechobee discharges into the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie River Estuaries by restoring the natural flow of Lake Okeechobee water south into the Everglades and Florida Bay. Restoring the natural southern flow of Lake Okeechobee water is essential to the survival of our estuaries, the health of the Everglades, and the long-term viability of South Florida's largest drinking water source. The problem is known. The solution is known. The funding is available through Amendment 1. All that's missing is the political will to make it happen.

Established in 1986, Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BBP) is the non-profit organization transforming and revitalizing Buffalo Bayou, Houston's most significant natural resource. BBP's geographic focus is the 10-square mile stretch of Buffalo Bayou from Shepherd Drive to the Port of Houston Turning Basin. Thanks to the generous support of foundations, corporations, individuals and government agencies, BBP has raised and leveraged more than $150 million for the redevelopment and stewardship of the waterfront - spearheading award-winning projects such as Sabine Promenade and Sesquicentennial Park, protecting land for future parks, constructing hike and bike trails, and operating comprehensive clean-up and maintenance programs. In 2015, BBP completed the $58 million Buffalo Bayou Park project that includes major destinations, natural landscaping, footpaths, trail lighting, water features and pedestrian bridges. Buffalo Bayou Partnership maintains and operates Buffalo Bayou Park, with annual funding provided by the Downtown Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) #3. Buffalo Bayou Partnership also seeks ways to activate Buffalo Bayou through pedestrian, boating and biking amenities; volunteer activities; permanent and temporary art installations; and wide-ranging tours and events that attract thousands.

The mission of Friends of Radnor Lake is to protect, preserve, and promote the natural integrity of the Radnor Lake State Natural Area through land acquisition, environmental information, and park support.

BFEF's commitment is to help maintain sustainable fisheries in our local waterways & lakes, introducing kids to fishing, conservation of Bridgeport waterways, and supporting local & outdoor programs.
