The mission of the Adirondack Council is to ensure the ecological integrity and wild character of the Adirondack Park. We envision an Adirondack Park composed of large core wilderness areas, connected to working farms and forests, and augmented by vibrant communities, all within a diverse mosaic of biologically intact landscapes.

Our mission is to transform the LA River in order to improve people’s lives by carrying out sustainable land use projects, advocacy for river-friendly policy, and programs for community benefit. Our vision is to make Los Angeles a cleaner, greener, and more connected community.

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution conducts independent ocean science, engineering, and education to advance understanding of the ocean and its connections to the Earth system, and communicates that knowledge to inform decision‑making and benefit society. Its work combines research, ship/vehicle operations, technology development, and training to address climate, ecosystem, and ocean‑resource challenges.

Ocean Alliance strives to increase public awareness of the importance of whale and ocean health through research and public education. We work with our scientific partners to collect a broad spectrum of data on whales and ocean life. Ocean Alliance uses this data to advise educators, policy makers, and the general public on wise stewardship of the oceans to mitigate pollution, prevent the collapse of marine mammal populations, and promote ocean and human health. Ocean Alliance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Organization, and was founded in 1971.

MissionTo conserve and restore the natural and cultural resources of the Chesapeake Bay watershed for the enjoyment, education and inspiration of this and future generations.We serve as a catalyst for change, advancing strong public and private partnerships, developing and using new technology and empowering environmental stewardship.Our objective is to accelerate progress to conserve 30% of the Chesapeake watershed by 2030 by equitably connecting people to the Chesapeake while conserving and restoring priority lands and waters.

Wild Fish Conservancy seeks to improve conditions for all of the Northwest’s wild fish by conducting important research (http://wildfishconservancy.org/about/what-we-do/science/research-and-monitoring/research-and-monitoring) on wild-fish populations and habitats; advocating (http://wildfishconservancy.org/about/what-we-do/advocacy/advocacy) for better land-use, harvest, and hatchery management; and developing model restoration(http://wildfishconservancy.org/about/what-we-do/science/habitat-restoration/test) projects. We are dedicated solely to the needs of wild fish, and don’t represent the interests of any specific user groups.

Scenic Hudson preserves land and farms and creates parks that connect people with the inspirational power of the Hudson River, while fighting threats to the river and natural resources that are the foundation of the valley’s prosperity.Our work is guided by our vision for the region:The Hudson Valley is a community of informed and engaged citizens working to make the region a model of vibrant riverfront cities and towns linked by inviting parks and trails, beautiful and resilient landscapes, and productive farms.

Vision: A healthy & thriving Severn River for present and future generations.Mission: We engage the local community with the Severn River and its tributaries through advocacy, education and restoration.Our programs focus areas:ADVOCATE – to build a broader and more diverse community of stewards to meet the growing needs of an expanding population, while conserving the Severn River’s health. EDUCATE - learners of all ages about one of the most biodiverse tracts of land, rivers, and trails, in the country, the Scenic Severn River and its watershed. RESTORE – Mother Nature’s water treatment plants – oysters and underwater grasses. With volunteers and partners we are re-establishing the processes necessary to support our River’s natural habitat.

The mission of the Red Lily Pond Project Association is to engage in and support efforts to restore and preserve the Craigville ponds, Centerville River System and Watershed area to a more healthy state, to educate the community regarding environmental practices that do not contribute to weed growth and also foster reliable ecosystem management, to share information pertaining to the innovative Craigville Community Cluster Septic System, and to extend the connection with the larger network of organizations that share the goal of responsible environmental stewardship through care and respect for the planet, for the benefit of the Town of Barnstable and beyond.

Our Mission: To spark curiosity, enhance understanding, and inspire conservation of our Blue Planet.Located within Odiorne Point State Park, Seacoast Science Center provides educational experiences on behalf of New Hampshire State Parks and have been connecting people to the wonders of our coast since 1992. Our live animal exhibits feature the amazing creatures that live in the rapidly changing Gulf of Maine ecosystem. Our engaging programs make learning about the ocean fun for everyone, from pre-K to senior rediscovery. Our hands-on science exhibits motivate families to become caretakers of our Blue Planet.We also operate the Seacoast Science Center Marine Mammal Rescue program, responding to marine mammals along the coast of NH and northern MA.

Big Sur Land Trust is a non-profit organization with a mission to inspire love of land across generations, conservation of our unique Monterey County landscapes, and access to outdoor experiences for all. We see a future where natural landscapes, working lands, urban open spaces and healthy communities are cared for by people who share a love of nature and a deep appreciation for the richness of their diverse cultures. Since 1978, our generous donors and partners have conserved over 40,000 acres throughout Monterey County. As an accredited land trust, our work promotes: 1. HEALTHY LANDS: Conserving and caring for the magnificent natural landscapes, habitats and waterways of our region to ensure a sustainable future. 2. HEALTHY PEOPLE: Providing opportunities for all who live in and visit Monterey County to experience the healthful benefits associated with access to parks and open spaces, fresh food, clean air and water, and a deep connection to nature. 3. Big Sur Land Trust is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) governed by a board of trustees, operated by a professional staff and supported by hundreds of members and volunteers. Our work is funded by generous private donations and public conservation funding. We are proud to be accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance. The accreditation seal is awarded to land trusts meeting the highest national standards for excellence and conservation permanence.
