We do this by: •Putting young women’s issues on the breast cancer agenda in a bold, upbeat way •Motivating young women to focus on breast health through risk reduction and early detection •Finding and forging new platforms to reach young people and creating high-impact, fear-free messaging •Filling gaps in support for young women with breast cancer •Funding timely research programs that foster young talent and reflect the unique issues associated with breast cancer in young women •Inspiring new generations of breast cancer supporters through dynamic special events and fundraising initiatives •Partnering with like-minded organizations to bring more awareness and resources to the cause

The CPFQ Child Sponsorship Program is designed to build bridges between the Canadian community and Palestinian children living under occupation or in refugee camps. Children enrolled in our program live under conditions of extreme poverty and unemployment. Many of them live in densely populated refugee camps. A suitable infrastructure is absent, seriously threatening the physical and mental health of residents. Many children suffer from serious health problems and disabilities. Due to financial hardship, many have to leave school at a very young age to help support their families. The severe restrictions on employment and movement make the future of these children very bleak. In addition to providing much needed financial assistance, the program helps maintain stable and rewarding relationships between each child and their sponsor. This simple message of hope can offset some of the effects of the chaotic and insecure conditions in which they live.

Hospice Simcoe provides for the needs of people in Simcoe County who are dying, who have dying family members or who are bereaved. We provide high quality Hospice Palliative Care from the time of diagnosis with a life limiting illness through death and bereavement. Our programs include Visiting Hospice, Residential Hospice and Bereavement Support. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people who are dying and their family members.
