JMJ Children's Fund is supporting children in schools in Ghana, India and Malawi. We are also helping to provide food for children in a Remand Home in Nigeria, with its attached orphanage. JMJ has been supporting a program called Youth Alive which teaches young people in Malawi how to fight AIDS.

Calgary Police Service Constable John Petropoulos passed away in the line of duty on Sept. 29, 2000. John was investigating a break and enter complaint when he stepped through a false ceiling, fell nine feet into the lunchroom below and succumbed to brain injuries. There was no safety railing to warn him of the danger. He was 32. After his death, several of John’s recruit classmates set up the John Petropoulos Memorial Fund (JPMF) and raised monies through the sale of memorial pins to fellow officers. Subsequent pin sales, grants, fundraisers and ongoing donations continue to sustain the Fund. Our safety initiatives offer people tangible tips they can implement in their workplaces and on the roads to help ensure emergency responders make it home safely to their families after every shift.

Our MissionThe Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund lightens the burdens and lifts the spirits of families caring for children living with illnesses, disabilities, and injuries, while respecting the dignity of families in need and celebrating life. We provide financial assistance and direct support for needs not covered by insurance and a variety of respite programs for families residing in or children receiving care in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. We also advocate for and provide educational resources to families nationwide.

Our mission is to provide grants to Massachusetts institutions performing research related to the prevention and cure of eye-related diseases.MLERFi has helped to establish three major research centers in Boston: the Howe Laboratory at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Laboratory at Boston University Medical Center, and the Lions Laboratory for Genetic Research at Schepens Eye Research Institute.MLERFi awards nearly $1 million in grants annually, funded completely by donations to our giving campaigns. Since 1951 we have provided grants totaling over $33 million.

Provide support, information and assistance to affected breast cancer patients and their families, especially in multicultural and medically underserved communities.

To champion the rights of people with disabilities through education, advocacy and litigation.

IDRF empowers poor, rural women and children in India and Nepal tough sustainable development programs.  We provide grants and support for community-based non-profit organizations (NGOs) in each country. After an initial grant, we engage with these NGOs to ensure that projects are sustained and that they respond to local needs efficiently. Our focus areas are eco-friendly rural development, education, healthcare, governance, women's empowerment, and disaster rehabilitation.

TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO CANCER VICTIMS. THIS SUPPORT IS PRIMARILY PROVIDED IN TWO WAYS: 1) DISTRIBUTION OF FINANCIAL "GESTURES" TO ASSIST WITH THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF A CANCER DIAGNOSIS AND 2) OFFERING OF HEALTHY AND ACTIVE-LIVING ACTIVITIES (SURVIVE, THRIVE & BE FIT) TO ENCOURAGE PATIENTS AND SURVIVORS TO LIVE MORE FULLY FOLLOWING A CANCER DIAGNOSIS.

Restoring hope and freedom through rehabilitation.

We are a consortium that was formed in 2003 to provide and administer a flight training program which will offer opportunities for persons of all physical abilities to experience the freedom of sailplane flying or soaring and to become educated in the operation and control of such aircraft, with a view to eventual certification where possible and practical. The Board of Freedom’s Wings Canada is made up of 2 representatives of each of the following organizations; The York Soaring Association, Youth Flight Canada, K. W. Access-Ability and two representatives from the community of persons with a disability at large.

Child Aid International is a not-for-profit organisation that respects and champions the rights of all orphan children – regardless of race, ethnicity or faith. The organisation strives to address the basic needs of orphan children by providing them with love, hope, inspiration and support to develop into healthy, caring, and confident individuals.
