We believe that reproductive rights are basic human rights and that everyone should have access to quality health care. Our clinical care, advocacy, and education programs work hand-in-hand to create stronger, healthier, and more equitable communities.

The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation is a trusted source of research demonstrating how pharmacists can improve health care. For over 60 years, we have consistently proven that patient health outcomes are positively impacted by pharmacists. Our mission is to improve health by inspiring philanthropy, research and innovation that advances pharmacists’ patient care services. The APhA Foundation looks to create a new medication use system where patients, pharmacists, physicians and other health care professionals collaborate to dramatically improve the cost effectiveness and quality of patient health outcomes.

PLAN Calgary - The Road Ahead Society was established in response to the needs of families with disabled children and adults. We support families in three broad areas: 1. The establishment of a secure future in very practical ways, such as finances (trusts, estates and will planning etc.) and housing and home ownership. 2. Promotion and development of enduring circles of support, the facilitation of meaningful relationships – people who look out for the interests of the person in the way a family might. 3. Developing long term partnerships with foundations and companies in the Calgary area to build a sustainable future for our members.

For more than 40 years, Canadian families have trusted Lutherwood to support them as they cope with serious child and adolescent behavioural, emotional and psychological challenges. Accredited by Children’s Mental Health Ontario, our Waterloo-based agency offers a blend of innovative approaches and evidence-informed practices that have attracted national attention. We currently provide residential treatment and assessment, community and school-based interventions, preventative services, family counselling in addition to operating a downtown youth shelter. Established to build relationships that foster philanthropy and support the Harbor Hospice mission. To continue the legacy of our organization the Foundation was established to enhance the programs, services and quality of life for our patients and families. The Harbor Hospice Foundation also includes a Legacy Circle to recognize donors who support the organization with a planned gift, such as designating the Harbor Hospice Foundation as the beneficiary of an insurance policy or pension, leaving a gift of real property, or establishing a charitable trust. STARRY nurtures children, strengthens families, and restores hope through counseling, foster care, and adoption. By serving the neglected, abused, and alone, we help children from hard places and struggling families along in their path to healing. STARRY offers comprehensive counseling that’s guided by grace and love. We also provide compassionate guidance to families as they navigate the foster care and adoption process. STARRY provides trauma-informed care to clients by using Trust-Based Relational Intervention®. We work to meet the needs of the body, soul, and spirit of children by using the TBRI® principles of connecting, empowering, and correcting.

The reason: at VON Canada (Victorian Order of Nurses), we believe in treating the whole person, not just their ailment. VON offers more than 75 different home care, personal support, and community services to enhance each client’s quality of life by providing them with the personal assistance and support needed to make them comfortable in their own home. We’ve been doing so for more than 110 years.

Founded on trust and established in 1992 the Community Foundation is a non-political, non-governmental registered public charity. As South Eastern Alberta’s community foundation we help new and experienced philanthropists establish individual and collective endowed charitable funds. All endowment funds are placed in a professionally managed investment portfolio. An annual independent audit of the Foundation is public information. Every six months we award grants in the fields of; Arts & Culture, Children & Youth, Families, Education, Environment, Health & Recreation, Seniors and Social Services. We regularly connect and collaborate with community members to address South Eastern Alberta’s most pressing needs.

The Vision, Mission, and Values of There is Hope for Me (TIHFM)Vision: To identify and restore survivors of human trafficking and abuse. Mission: As a survivors-to-survivors nonprofit. TIHFM offers H.O.P.E. through Healing, Opportunity, Purpose and Empowerment. We conduct education and awareness outreach and identification of trafficking survivors, provide one-on-one survivor peer mentoring (restoration) and support to those affected by human trafficking and abuse. Values: We provide hope and unconditional love to survivors and their families. Collaboration with law enforcement aids in successful prosecutions while maintaining partnerships of integrity, which guards the valued trust of our survivors. We provide national trainings on trauma-informed, survivor centered care.

Not Another Child (NAC) uses social networks to provide support to 2,011 children-in-need (ages 0-14 years). This first phase of NAC's aspiration began in January 2011 and will end whenever 2,011 children's lives change for the better. NAC’s modus operandi is using Peer-to-Peer networks to identify children needing food, shelter, and clothing. With help from Trusted Volunteers, NAC ensures 100% of donations benefit impoverished children. In the words of NAC’s founder: “It is time to make a difference in the life of a child here and the life of a child there, one impoverished child at a time, for some children a one-time difference, for other children a difference of a lifetime.”

Empowering Children and Families was born out of experience working with children and families whose needs weren’t being met. A dedicated and compassionate group of people decided to join forces and build an organization to help kids and families. It was and is the right thing to do. Our mission is to help children and families construct and sustain a healthy foundation for the future. We do this by taking the time to establish trust and build a collaborative relationship. Many parents are too afraid to ask for help and if they do, they cycle through program after program with little to no progress. ECF makes a difference with families by providing a comprehensive “roadmap” unique to each family’s strengths and challenges that is culturally responsive.

A member of America’s most trusted reproductive health care provider, our affiliate is proud to support and operate 29 health centers across our five-state region (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota). Each year, we provide health care to nearly 100,000 people and health education to more than 55,000 people in our region.
