Casa de Esperanza mobilizes Latinas and Latin@ communities to end gender-based violence. We were founded in 1982 when a small group of Latina activists created an emergency shelter for Latinas who were denied domestic violence services from mainstream systems. For 38 years, we have served a highly marginalized population in culturally relevant ways that translate to greater safety, community connectedness, and self-sufficiency for Latin@s who experience domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. Our work builds and leverages the communities’ strengths, cultural assets, and leadership to shift beliefs and behaviors within family and social networks, which we believe will create the conditions and solutions for thriving.

To encourage, motivate, and inspire individuals to more than survive building a community thriving on evidence-based practices in peer-supported programs, service work, affordable housing for recovery treatment, and prevention of abuse.

Money raised through the Coronavirus Relief Fund will be split evenly amongst CDC Foundation, International Medical Corps and Direct Relief to support first responders & medical professionals working on the coronavirus globally. Direct Relief EIN: 95-1831116 Direct Relief is coordinating with public health authorities, nonprofit organizations and businesses in China and the U.S. to provide personal protective equipment and other items to health workers responding to coronavirus (COVID-19). Direct Relief is also staging personal protective equipment with regional response agencies across the world, including in the Caribbean and South America through the Pan American Health Organization. Every 13 minutes a woman dies from breast cancer. Each year in the United States alone, more than 275,000 women and hundreds of men are diagnosed with breast cancer, and more than 42,000 die from the disease. Another 3 million people are living with the disease. The National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund's mission is to end breast cancer by increasing federal funding for breast cancer research, creating access to breast and cervical cancer care for underserved and uninsured women, and training advocates to play an active role wherever breast cancer decisions are made.

ICRF was founded in 1975 by a group of American and Canadian medical researchers, oncologists, and lay people who were committed to the growth and development of Israel and to combating the worldwide scourge of cancer. These visionaries were determined to harness Israel's educational and scientific resources in the fight against cancer, while stemming the "brain drain" of Israel's best and brightest scientists. Their solution: providing funds for postdoctoral fellowships for young Israeli M.D's and Ph.D.'s. Their solution worked. In addition to ICRF's many achievements and medical breakthroughs by ICRF-supported scientists, the organization now has operating chapters in six cities in three countries - the United States, Canada and Israel -- with its international headquarters in New York City, plus active Boards of Directors for each chapter, an International Board of Trustees, and International Scientific Council, a Scientific Review Panel and a Scientific Advisory Board.

United Spinal Association works to empower and advocate for people with spinal cord injuries/disorders and all wheelchair users by providing peer support, information and resources, and by lobbying for accessibility and disability rights. Their programs include a national chapter network, resource/assistance services, advocacy, and publications to improve quality of life for people with SCI/D.
