Since its introduction in 1994 the RCMP Foundation has donated over $9 million dollars directly to Canadian community groups to support hundreds of initiatives for the benefit of youth at risk. Future prospects for thousands of less-fortunate Canadian youth look brighter, thanks to RCMP Foundation support of programs implemented by local community groups and the ongoing voluntarily services of RCMP members throughout our Nation. These programs create awareness and prevention of drug and alcohol abuse, bullying, violence and suicide and are complemented by the development of like skills, self-esteem and confidence, all tools to help fulfill the desire for a better life for Canada's youth at-risk.
