Our patients are extremely poor, many living on less than $1.00 per day. That is a difficult fact for Americans to grasp, yet it is true. Further, they do not have access to plastic reconstructive surgery or eye surgery. Children born with birth defects or who suffer from traumatic injuries have no hope without our help.
