CLRA supports research efforts towards finding the causes and a cure for leukemia and assists families in meeting the financial obligations incurred in treatment. We strive to be at the forefront of funding medical expenses for families affected by blood cancers and supporting groundbreaking hospital research, ultimately leading to enhanced treatments and a cure.

Gilda's Club Madison creates a community of free emotional support, cancer education, and hope for children and adults with any cancer diagnosis and those who care for them.

The Child Cancer Fund was founded in 1994 by a group of Jacksonville, FL parents whose children were being treated for cancer; they understood the stress, anxiety and heartache of a childhood cancer diagnosis. We provide practical, emotional, financial, and educational support to children and their families every step of the way to navigate the challenges of childhood cancer.

ASK is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1975 by a small group of parents whose children had cancer. They came together to provide mutual support, search for answers, and deal with the devastating news no parent ever wants to hear: “Your child has cancer.” With 1-2 children diagnosed per week in Central VA, your donation will be a great help to our small, local nonprofit dedicated to making life better for children with cancer. Your support will help to provide emotional, social, financial and educational care to children with cancer who are treated at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, the only treatment facility for childhood cancer in Central Virginia. ASK provides children, siblings, and caregivers with support from the moment of diagnosis through treatment to survivorship or bereavement.

With this in mind, Chai Lifeline strives to: Find ways to bring joy to the lives of our young patients and their families through creative, innovative, and effective family-focused programs, activities, and services; Engender hope and optimism in children, families, and communities; Educate and involve communities in caring for ill children and their families; Provide unparalleled support throughout the child’s illness, recovery and beyond; Build communities among children and families living with illness or loss that allow them to engage, strengthen, and encourage one another; Offer all services free of charge to ensure that every family has access to the programs it needs.

Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is a community dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to children and their families coping with cancer, sickle cell anemia, and other serious illnesses. Through summer sessions and family weekends at the Camp in Ashford, Connecticut and year-round outreach to hospitals and clinics across the Northeast, the Camp serves more than 20,000 children and family members annually. All services are provided free of charge.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. When Alex, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, was 4, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front yard lemonade stand. Her plan: to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure. Her first “Alex’s Lemonade Stand,” held with the help of her older brother Patrick, raised an astonishing $2,000 in one day. While bravely fighting her own cancer, Alex continued to set up lemonade stands every year. As news spread of the remarkable girl so dedicated to helping other sick children, people everywhere were inspired to start their own lemonade stands — donating the proceeds to her cause. In 2004 when Alex passed away at the age of 8 — her stand and inspiration had raised more than $1 million towards finding a cure for the disease that took her life. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) was started by her parents in 2005 to continue the work that Alex began. Our mission is simple: to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. Since Alex set up her first lemonade stand in 2000 — truly exemplifying the saying “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade” — we have raised more than $250 million. That money has helped to: - Fund more than 1,000 cutting-edge research projects at nearly 150 institutions. - Create a Travel For Care program to help support families of children receiving treatment and develop resources, such as our SuperSibs program to help people everywhere affected by childhood cancer. To advocate for sarcoma patients by funding research and by increasing awareness about the disease. The organization raises money to privately fund grants for sarcoma researchers and conducts education and advocacy efforts on behalf of sarcoma patients.
