Fight Like a Kid is a nonprofit organization under 501 (c)(3). Their goal is to raise money to fund childhood cancer research, to raise awareness of childhood cancer, and to inspire teens & children who are surviving all kinds of cancer.

The foundation raises funds to support cancer research and to help pay for patient treatments. It is focused on advancing innovative cancer therapies (including a Phase IIa clinical trial using personalized cancer‑vaccine technology) and enabling patients to access those treatments.

Their Mission And Purpose: "By responsibly funding research and development, we are making every effort to defeat Childhood Cancer, and are hoping to assist families that are affected. We would like to help alleviate financial burdens and worries while they are missing work and altering their lives to be able to take care of their child."

Friends of Joey Reiser Foundation is a small local charitable group that honors the memory of Joey Reiser by supporting children and families affected by cancer and by running local fundraising and scholarship activities. The group has organized hospital visits and raises funds for scholarships and related local charitable efforts.

Joedance Film Festival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness of rare pediatric cancers, specifically, sarcomas, blastomas and brain tumors, for research and clinical trials at Levine Children’s Hospital. The annual film festival is committed to screening films of Charlotte-based film producers, writers and directors.

DKMS is an international not for profit organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders by: creating awareness; recruiting bone marrow donors to provide a second chance at life; raising funds to match donor registration costs; supporting the improvement of therapies through research; and supporting patients from day one of their diagnoses.

The Queen of Hearts Foundation is committed to making a difference in women's lives. They want the women diagnosed with ovarian cancer to know there is hope for survival. They remain passionate that early detection, early awareness and intelligent medical attention are the keys to fighting this cancer. They are the only foundation in Southern California specifically dedicated to funding ovarian cancer research projects.

The mission of the Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research is to raise funds that will directly benefit the fight to end sarcoma. By supporting local, innovative research with a relentless commitment to excellence, we open a pathway for scientists and other research professionals to develop and offer cutting-edge treatment options to more sarcoma sufferers. Thus helping to expand our global hope for a cure.

TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR WOMEN DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST, OVARIAN, ENDOMETRIAL, OR CERVICAL CANCERS. FUNDS RAISED THROUGH VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EVENTS ARE USED TO ASSIST WITH NONMEDICAL DAILY LIVING EXPENSES SUCH AS RENT, FOOD AND UTILITIES. PURCHASES FOR PATIENTS UNDERGOING CANCER TREATMENT INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: WIGS, PROSTHESES AND SPECIAL GARMENTS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE BUT CRITICAL TO IMPROVING A PATIENT'S SELF-ESTEEM AND RECOVERY.
