Our clinic is run by the women who work here with the support of our volunteer board of directors. We treat the women who come here the way we would want to be treated ourselves. We respect women's decisions. We are committed to a feminist model of service that empowers women to participate in their own health care and adheres to principles of responsibility, accountability and team work in its internal organization. The purpose of Everywoman’s Health Centre Society is to support the ongoing operation of Everywoman's Health Centre as a not-for-profit clinic accessible to all women. The clinic is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and is funded by Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.

Health Access Connect

Kevin Gibbons and Carolyne Ariokot started Health Access Connect based on the need for antiretroviral treatment (ART) and other health services that they witnessed in fishing villages on Lake Victoria. Many people fail to get health services because it’s too expensive and difficult to travel to the nearest facility. We said, “There must be a way to address this problem!” HAC came from that initial need that we learned from the communities, and our programs are all designed to serve our mission to link Ugandans living in remote areas with healthcare resources. Over time we have worked with health workers to integrate more services, including malaria treatment, vaccinations, perinatal care, child checkups, and family planning.

LAKERIDGE HEALTH FOUNDATION

Lakeridge Health invests in equipment to pinpoint and treat health problems quickly and accurately to meet the healthcare needs of Durham Region families. Our medical professionals deliver the quality health care our families have come to expect by using the latest technology. Lakeridge Health is always in need of new equipment and depends entirely on community support to get it. Not many people know that the Provincial Government covers only operating costs of hospitals but does not fund the purchase of equipment. This is why donations from the community are so important. By investing in new technology used in patient care, your contributions go a long way in helping our families, neighbours and friends continue to get the best healthcare possible. High priority programs include: •Kidney and Diabetes Care •Surgery •Emergency and Critical Care •Clinical Support Services
