To support educate and nurture the blind and visually impaired of the Greater Merrimack Valley by assisting them in the enrichment of their lives and helping them to gain maximum independence. To stimulate the interest and education of the general public to the problems and issues facing the blind and visually impaired as productive members of society seeking fulfillment of their human potential.

At Valley Center for the Blind we join together in a spirit of dedication to assist blind and visually impaired persons in experiencing a more independent and opportunity filled life. These efforts are achieved through specialized methods of training and education provided by our professional staff. We believe that every individual, regardless of disability, can accomplish their desired goals provided the proper instruction and support. With over 40 years of experience, Valley Center for the Blind believes that every individual should have the opportunity to live independently and we teach adaptive techniques to make this a possibility for the visually impaired. Our primary goal is to support each and every client that walks through our doors. Whether it be educational support from our classes, emotional assistance from our counselors, or a new camaraderie found in one of our activities. We aspire to serve anyone dealing wtih vision loss and vision impairment by helping them reestablish independence, build confidence, and find new ways to enjoy life!

Durham Outlook for the Needy is a non-profit organization started in 1990 by local Oshawa residents that operates St. Vincent Pallotti Kitchen. The Kitchen strives to offer a daily meal in a dignified manner to the needy in our community. We exist and operate with no government funding, an only with the generous donations from caring individuals and corporations we are able to carry out our Mission. The Kitchen served its one millionth meal in August 2010.

The Cedarbrook Society owns and operates The Darling Home for Kids, a children's hospice and respite centre in Milton, ON. The home provides a home away from home where medically fragile and/or technology dependent children can receive the specialized care they require, while giving their parents a break.

Society members have the opportunity to share in the work of the society and it’s vision by assisting with fundraising, being an advocate for it’s work, and taking an active role in decision making. Members also have the opportunity to volunteer to travel to Tanzania to work with the local communities to fulfill their dreams of a brighter future. Leader Dogs for the Blind breeds and trains dogs (and future owners) to assist the blind. Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind is dedicated to helping the visually impaired and blind population of the greater Washington region overcome the challenges of vision loss.  Our work enables people of all ages who are visually impaired or blind to remain independent, active, and productive in our society. We help people with vision loss live independently to fulfill their life's purposes.  We do this by providing comprehensive services and programs for people of all ages ( for children, adults and seniors, etc.) including employment, training, vision care, recreation and advocacy.

The National Gaucher Foundation (NGF) was established in 1984 as a non-profit, tax exempt organization dedicated to supporting and promoting research towards the cause, treatments and a cure for Gaucher Disease. Our mission has expanded to promote education and awareness, fund financial programs vital to the Gaucher community and to meet the ever-increasing needs of individuals with Gaucher disease and their families.

The MPS Society exists to cure, support, and advocate for Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) and mucolipidosis (ML) diseases.
