The Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation is an independent, volunteer driven, charitable organization that builds and manages endowment funds to support local charities and community priorities. Donations to endowment funds are pooled together and invested. The income from these investments is then used to as grants to support local registered charities, while the capital remains untouched. Our Community Foundation aims to strengthen the communities in which we serve(Kenora, Keewatin, Reddit, Minaki, Sioux Narrows, Nestor Falls, the First Nations Territories and the unincorporated areas surrounding Lake of the Woods)by continuously striving towards three key objectives: - Endowment Building and personalized donor services - Broad and effective grant making - Community Leadership Our Community Foundation is creating a lasting legacy for our region.
