The mission of the New Jersey Rett Syndrome Association is to contribute towards an improved quality of life for girls and women affected by Rett syndrome. We beleive that by raising awareness, we can foster public attitudes conducive to early intervention, treatment, support and research of Rett syndrome.

Kids Helping Kids is recognized as a charitable foundation (charitable registration number 82682 5341 RR0001) to make donations to qualified donnees under the Income Tax Act (Canada) that benefit boys and girls under 18 years of age, whether to help with education, or to help those who are underprivileged.

The mission of the Homes for Children Corporation is to help troubled female youth who are abused, neglected, or runaways become independent, productive adults and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for adolescent girls by providing a group home experience, building life skills and helping young people and their families find solutions to the difficulties they face.

White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement of men and boys working to end violence against women and girls, promote gender equity, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity. Starting in 1991, we asked men to wear white ribbons as a pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women and girls. Since then the White Ribbon has spread to over 60 countries around the world. We work to examine the root causes of gender-based violence and create a cultural shift that helps bring us to a future without violence. Our vision is for a masculinity that embodies the best qualities of being human. We believe that men are part of the solution and part of a future that is safe and equitable for all people.

Sauti Moja links donors to the community initiatives of indigenous people, like the Maasai of Kenya and Tanzania. These initiatives include education of vulnerable girls and children, HIV/AIDS prevention, and providing livestock to widows and single mothers. Local leaders have the power and ability to change their lives. We partner with complementary skills and additional resources to ensure their success!

The foundation invests in the potential of 2SLGBTQ+ communities — especially LGBTQ women, girls, and other historically excluded groups — by providing rapid-response community grants, scholarships (e.g., for queer youth camps), and programs to improve health, economic justice, and representation. Its work includes building an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Directory and supporting grassroots organizations across the U.S. and Canada.

Women and adolescent girls access our Women's Centre for information, one-to-one support and advocacy for a wide range of issues and concerns -- poverty, violence and abuse, sexual assault, mental and emotional health, affordable housing, parenting, social and familial relationships, separation and divorce, and women's rights and entitlements. We offer community-based programs that include a women's health clinic, a sexual assualt nurse examiner (SANE) program, support groups for adult survivors of sexual trauma, an in-school healthy relationships program for grade nine students, and a problem-solving skills development program for adolescent girls. We are working with our community on community health impact assessment, a poverty reduction strategy, food security and strengthening services for children and youth. We are involved at the provincial level with social policy advocacy focussed on poverty and violence against women.

Through a variety of programs- Traditional, In-School, Go Girls, Game On, and Friendship Programs- we provide mentorship to children and youth in the communities of Brock, Uxbridge and Scugog Townships. All of our mentors are volunteers and thoroughly screened and matched with our mentees as best we can. We are not government funded, and therefore hold a variety of fundraising events each year in order to keep our programs running.

Everyday Support: Support the basic needs of our 134 Majengo children, and help give them the essentials to flourish: food, accomodation, medical, education and recreation. Building Majengo: We're building a new Majengo orphanage facility for our children to call home, including proper sleeping quarters and dining hall, kitchen, on-site pre-school, library, medical clinic, playground, vegetable garden, goat pen and a community soccer field. Masai Girls' Education Fund: Help to send our most vulnerable girls from the broader Majengo community to school, including their accomodation, school fees and books, food, uniform and outings.

For over 90 years the Kingston Rotary club has been active in our community developing initiatives that enhance the quality of life for families, with a special emphasis on children. Major supported activities include RKY Summer Camp, the Boys and Girls Club, Easter Seals, early childhood literacy and youth leadership. The Kingston club sponsors the Queen's University Rotaract Club and two Interact clubs for High School students in the local community.

Nashua Children's Home is committed to the care, welfare and educational achievement of children and youth within its Residential and Educational Programs, and the successful transition to adult living of young men and women in its Transitional Living Program. Nashua Children's Home provides care and stability to boys and girls unable to remain with their families, special education services for students who have not been successful in public school settings, and supportive housing for youth that have "aged-out" of care.

Real Life Children’s Ranch exists to provide residential group homes that care for boys and girls who have been abused, abandoned, and/or neglected. Real Life Children’s Ranch is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization approved by the State of Florida. The children typically range in age from five to seventeen. Our goal is to give children the best possible care in a safe family atmosphere and to guide them into fulfilling and productive futures.
