Cure JM's mission is to find a cure and better treatments for Juvenile Myositis and improve the lives of families affected by JM.
Our mission is to mobilize a community for patient support and advocacy, as well as drive and support impactful research that translates into advances for patients with migraine and other disabling diseases that cause severe head pain. Our core beliefs guide everything we do, from the research we promote to our efforts to build a supportive, welcoming community for all people living with migraine. Advocacy and education is the only way we will increase awareness and recognition of migraine for the disabling disease it truly is.
McCormick Home, a WCA organization, is a fully accredited not-for-profit charitable long-term care home that has served London and area for over 100 years. We provide care for those who are no longer able to live safely and independently in the community. Our Home creates an environment that encourages residents to be as active, independent and as involved in life as much as they are able. We also offer the Alzheimer Outreach Services (AOS) community based program which provides individualized recreational therapeutic activities designed to bring out the best in all clients. The Day Program is offered 7 days a week. Family and educational support programs are also available for caregivers and clients.
Through the efforts of TENDER WISHES, many families have been able to cherish happy memories. Each year the number of wishes grows. They range from trips to Walt Disney World, home entertainment units, attending sporting events, meeting a celebrity or hero, to home renovations done to the home to make life a little more comfortable for their child. The wishes are as varied as the child. In general, TENDER WISHES strives to make the child's wish, in consultation with their parents, come true! INTERESTING FACTS 1. We are based in Niagara Falls, Ontario and serve the entire Regional Municipality of Niagara. 2. We have NO paid staff. All our members are Volunteers. 3. We are NOT affiliated with any national or international wish-granting organization. 4. We receive NO Government Grants 5. Once a wish is granted, contact is maintained with the child and their family through annual events such as our Summer Picnic, Parades and our Wish Children's Christmas Party.
