The Health and Home Care Society of BC is an independent and BC-based not-for-profit organization formerly known as the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) BC. Since 1898, we have been taking care of British Columbians with healthcare initiatives tailored to the needs of the communities we serve. We continue this tradition of caring today by offering preventive and supportive health services to keep people healthy and in the comfort of their own homes and communities. We offer charitable programs to support seniors, caregivers and other individuals in need: -Meals on Wheels delivers more than 500 meals every weekday to homebound Vancouver-Richmond residents, as well as visits from our friendly volunteers and an informal check on their safety. -the Family Respite Centre is a safe, home-like environment where seniors benefit from temporary nursing care and recreational and therapeutic activities with their peers, allowing caregivers to get much-needed rest from their responsibilities.

We are a non-profit agency that provides support to Seniors (age 60 and older) and to Adults with temporary or permanent disabilities (age 18 and older) to assist them to live safely and independently in their own homes and community of Glanbrook and Hamilton while placing great value on respect and excellence.

At Laurel House, we open our home and hearts providing a welcoming, safe environment to residents during their final days of life and their families. A dedicated staff and caring volunteers care for our resident’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs, under the guidance of hospice philosophies. We are grateful to be able to fulfill this mission through the generosity of our community.

Coyote Hill is a professional home of love for abused and neglected children; and also for children whose families just need a chance to regroup and get a fresh start. We provide licensed counseling and professional social work services. We provide the child with a safe and healthy place to grow, to learn, to laugh, to love. We are a Safe Place to Be a Child.

The mission of the Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey, Inc. (JHF) is to develop the long term vision of, and provide aid and support to, the not-for-profit organizations of the JHR, JHRC, JHAL or their successor organizations for the purposes making available healthcare, educational, life enrichment, scientific or other charitable efforts for the seniors, the elderly and infirm in our community. The Foundation shall strive to be the lifeblood/heartbeat of said organizations and advocate the moral imperatives of care and tzedakah in keeping with our Jewish traditions and customs.  Additionally, The Foundation shall encourage the institutions it supports to maximize delivery of services to the entire community, without regard to the individuals ability to pay.
