Our Goal: Indwell's goal is to restore hope and dignity to people. We attempt to overcome the stigma through educating people to understand many common and widespread misconceptions surrounding homelessnes. Our Motivation: Staff of Indwell share a Christian motivation to care for our residents, many of whom have experienced social marginalization, family disruption, and a loss of self esteem and dignity. We follow Christ's instruction to love our neighbors as ourselves. We therefore seek to enable each resident to reach their personal recovery goals.

The St-Raphael’s Palliative Care Residence Inc. proposes a project to transform the Saint Raphael the Archangel Church into a twelve-bed palliative care residence and an innovative service: A Day Center, for patients with a survival prognosis between one month and one year. To date, Montreal does not have a day center available to offer respite and support for those diagnosed with a terminal illness and only 20% of people facing end-of-life have access to the comprehensive approach offered by palliative care. Such a multidisciplinary center is particularly well suited to meet the needs of palliative care patients and their caregivers by offering moral and spiritual support, and medical care, in a serene and compassionate environment. Together, we can create an environment that will nourish the spirit, allowing patients to live their remaining days in comfort, with respect and dignity, and in peace with their families and loved ones.
