The CBF is committed to three pillars of success: 1. Improving the “HEALTH OF THE BASKETBALL NATION” by providing access and opportunity for all participants to play, learn and grow. This is particularly timely as Canada deals with the growing concern of childhood obesity. The solution starts in the community with programs that build a passion for basketball while improving the quality of life for all participants. 2. Providing a "PATHWAY OF EXCELLENCE" for athletes to compete for Canada. Ensuring that talented young athletes have a means to develop skills, through an organized infrastructure of elite programming that supports various stages of development. Success is based on support from stakeholders in the basketball community like coaches, club teams, provincial sport organizations, and generous donors of CBF. 3. “DEVELOPING BASKETBALL” and all aspects of the game for coaches, athletes, officials and administrators through a shared commitment to continuous improvement.
