WINDSOR CANCER CENTRE FOUNDATION

All of the funds raised by the Foundation, through donations and events, remain in this community to be used to fulfill the Foundation's goals of enhancing the care and treatment of cancer patients in Windsor & Essex County, and supporting locally based cancer research.

OTTAWA DRAGON BOAT FOUNDATION

In 1998, a charitable component was added to the Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival raising funds for local charities on an annual basis. The Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation was established in 2003 to help focus and grow this necessary component of the Festival. To date over $1,500,000 has been raised through the annual Pledge Challenge. The Pledge Challenge is an opportunity for our paddlers to raise funds for local charities. Money is raised on behalf of the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation and then dispersed to the selected charities. In 2009, the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation will be supporting a total of eight local charities through a three-tier system. 2009 Charities Include: The Sens Foundation (project s.t.e.p), Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health, POGO, Candleighters Childhood Cancer Support, OCRI Breakfast Program, Algonquin College Foundation, Ottawa's Children Treatment Centre, Good Day Workshop.

The Bethesda Foundation Inc.

The Bethesda Foundation was created by consent of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly of Manitoba July 9th 1980. Since it was established in 1980, the Foundation has provided funding for the improvement of health care services at the Bethesda Hospital, Bethesda Place, and in the community.

WESTERN REGIONAL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

The Western Regional Hospital Foundation was established in 1987 by a group of concerned citizens who recognized that alternate funding for priority medical equipment was necessary. The Foundation inspires people to partner in achieving the highest quality of healthcare for approximately 80,000 individuals throughout the Western Region of Newfoundland. The Regional Foundation operates on an annual campaign basis, working with the community to raise approximately $500,000 every twelve months. In 27 years the WRH Foundation, with the help of its generous supporters, has succeeded in raising over $10.5 million for the purchase of much-needed medical equipment for the region.

SAVE YOUR SKIN FOUNDATION

The Save Your Skin Foundation is a Canadian not-for-profit foundation. Through events and other initiatives, the Foundation focuses on: raising funds for education and awareness, providing emotional and financial support to those dealing with melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, and on supporting and advocating for ongoing research and treatment of skin cancer – especially melanoma. The Save Your Skin Foundation is a member of the Coalition Priorité Cancer au Québec, Alliance des patients pour la santé, Better Pharmacare Coalition, Canadian Cancer Network, and Skin Patient Allliance. The Milos Raonic Foundation

The Milos Raonic Foundation will harness resources in support of disadvantaged children. In particular, the foundation will support initiatives intended to reduce economic, physical and other barriers that might prevent the full integration of all children in the lives of their communities. In this stage of its work, The Milos Raonic Foundation will focus on children with physical disabilities and, especially, children in need of prosthetic devices that will enable them to reach their full potential.

Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation

The Dartmouth General Hospital Charitable Foundation promotes and supports priority needs of the Dartmouth General Hospital. Donations are directed to medical equipment specifically related to patient care, services and education. The Foundation provides approximately $750,000 annually towards hospital equipment. The current priority is the refurbishing of the 3rd and 4th floor inpatient units. This is a co-share with the Department of Health and Wellness. The Foundation's contribution is approximately $1 million.
