GO-MED was started informally during the latter half of 2009 by several nurses, surgeons, and anesthetists who have been on previous overseas medical missions with other excellent organizations, such as Operation Rainbow and Health for Humanity. They decided that they wanted to expand their range, however, in several ways. They wanted to: 1. include a variety of surgeries according to the expertise of the surgeons who volunteer for a given mission; 2. include, as patients, adults as well as children; 3. include health education focused on the prevention of illness; 4. include a variety of global destinations, with perceived need being one of the critical criteria for selection.
When individuals choose to donate to ARNET, they are making a personal investment in both current and future generations of Alberta RNs and NPs. Your support funds specialized and advanced nursing studies that provide RNs with additional skills, knowledge and training to meet changing healthcare needs. Our donors are ensuring that Alberta continues to develop nursing leaders who will have a direct impact on the quality of health and care for all Albertans and generations to come.

We are passionately dedicated to creating programs that improve the quality of life for families living with Parkinson's. There are many complimentary services and alternative therapies that can be game changers for both the individual with PD and their caregiver(s). The key is being able to access these services…. and that's where we come in. With greater access today, lives will be changed forever.
Since 1993, ACCES has been working with Kenyan partners to provide educational opportunities in the Kakamega Region of Western Province. We have provided post-secondary scholarships for over 1,300 Kenyans to study in Kenyan universities and colleges. We operate 8 primary schools serving over 1,300 pupils. We also support an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign that has reached more than 20,000 people, small business training and loans, organic agricultural training, adult education, community health services, water wells, and secondary school education. ACCES guarantees that 100% of donations dedicated to programs will be used on those programs - our modest administration costs are covered through special board initiatives.

By creating a community that is motivating, supporting and inspiring individuals to take charge of their health today, we are helping to improve the quality of life for people with diabetes now and tomorrow.
SPECT, or Sterile Processing Education Charitable Trust, began with Christina Fast's vision of making a difference in West Africa. While volunteering on the Africa Mercy Ship, in Sierra Leone, Christina visited several local hospitals. The conditions she observed shocked her, and created within her a passion to "do something, as anything was better than nothing!" With the support of friends and family, SPECT was established and granted charitable status in the fall of 2013. Trustees of the organization include Olive Fast (chair), Jocelyn Wright (treasurer), and Torey Erdman (secretary). All donations go to supporting the mission of SPECT.
